I feel your pain bro, it's been a year and I finished a whopping total of three chapters, and the first season is probably like 9 chapters.

Demon House is several episodes away from being complete.

After nearly drawing it for 5 years with over 400 individual pages, I'm ready to move on.

Heavy Horns is also close to completion, but there are still 2 whole chapters to go. I'm am not as jaded with it though because it's a less demanding comic work-wise, and I quite love the completeness to the story that I've penned for it.

I've learned that, for me, doing an episodic series is just not sustainable for my sense of passion. I need tight scripts to keep me engaged for the long haul.

Not even. This comic will probably be anywhere from 10 to 20 chapters- from there it might go into a 2nd volume(if I decide to go that route)...after that, then the series will be done.

Personally I've never finished a comic series because I only write longform but my current series is...(*checks script) on page 33 of 196. So...a little more than 1/5 completed. Oh boy, that...I wish I didn't look that up haha.

Nah, you gotta make 20 seasons out of it, and make sure you have a backup plot twist and expanding plot threads so every character have their own one piece they need to search

We have one chapter left as was planned, but part of me is tempted to one more chapter and maybe 2 more bonus story, but we're so limited by budget you have to make touch choices. Still, we could always come back and expand on it later ^^

So, no I'm not near the end, but I've definitely gone over humps. Considering NTN was 'supposed' to end a while ago.... the world just evolved into something that was too interesting and too big for me to just chop off at "the end".

Well, like you, my series started two years ago. The entire story for my series has been laid out from beginning to end. Now to actually finish creating all the episodes will take the next three years. That's just in the main continuity. I also have another series, which is ongoing (although it hasn't been updated in almost eight months now) includes stories that are outside the main continuity, and those are a collection of short stories spanning multiple parts in different universes. Just know that it won't take me like 10 years to finish the series as I plan all of the seasons and episodes months in advance. Speaking of which, i'm looking for people to get invested in the third season, so if you could, it'd be greatly appreciated:

Honestly? I was going to say no, but knowing I'm shortening the comic a bit, I'd say The Flipside will be over by 2021. Hopefully. Hahaha.

The story is being shortened due to a change in direction. Originally, the mystery was going to be the main focus, and while I do still want to have that, my feelings about some things have changed. I now want to shrink it down a bit, to focus on how everything has affected my main character, and the rebuilding of her life.

I love my characters and want to possibly do more projects with them specifically (like a GL comic!) but the story itself is really messy sometimes...

WHATTT wow, kudos to you because if it was me, no way in hell will i let it run that long. I had a comic that ran for 4 years and half and by the time a graduated college i was no longer interested and my audience suffered greatly for it.
so i applaud you for trying. it's doable dont get me wrong. i was once following an artist that had a comic run for 7 years and she finished it. i have mad respect for her. i DO NOT have that kind of dedication let alone patience

If I include the episodes I've made in my buffer, I'm about 2/3 of the way done with roughly 100 eps. Let's see if I can stay on track and finish the series with 50ish more eps. (Watch me add a bunch of extra just for fun stuff and never finish this series XD)

It can be hard to keep a comic going for a long time and 4 years is still something to be proud of!! I am determined to finish the comic, but might take some breaks here and there.

As for me, I just started my series this year, so it'll be a very long time before I'm done... If I include my buffer, though, I'm over 100 pages in, so I think I've done decently! At this rate, in 5 years I'll at least be done with the first book...
