I work alone! I like it because I'm just doing what I want when I want to and I can control the pace of when stuff comes out. Working in a group can be pretty great if you have weaknesses you want to have covered by someone else. Like maybe you're great at writing, but your art isn't that good, or maybe your art IS good, but you just can't draw backgrounds. Working alone doesn't mean you have no weaknesses of course, there are things I'm not too good at, but I'd rather just make mistakes and learn from them if it means I get to improve and make the story I want to make. However, it needs to be said that working with someone else doesn't take away your freedoms as a creator. If you find a person or people you're really compatible with, you could end up making stories that you'll like significantly more than if you worked on them alone.
At the end of the day, it all comes down to preference and priorities. If a team sounds fun to you, I recommend looking for people you like working with, don't worry too much about whether or not they're professionals or whatever. If you want to work alone, that can also be fun and it's absolutely possible to do it by yourself, but know that it's a lot of learning and a lot of work.
Personally, I like the challenge working alone presents, and I like how it feels to finish a complicated drawing or episode that I think comes together really well by myself. I've occasionally thought about getting help with the drawing process since it takes so long, but when I look at what I've been able to do by myself I always find myself deciding against it. But that's my own biased perspective, there's tons of value in starting a team and I think you should do that if that's what you think sounds more fun
