Took some time away from drawing to do some gardening but now I'm back and throughly eager to continue drawing!
Today I have been doing a case study of Nani from Lilo&Stitch!
The first image is the the line drawing:
Then after drawing, I practiced my inking!:
And I was so full of energy today that I started studying how to create textured jeans with water colours. I followed this video on youtube if anybody is interested. https://youtu.be/TqAQmGo-cg4 , I recommend watching it if you like how the Jeans came out which is shown below:
Next to the hand drawn jeans are the watercolour Jeans I tried my hand at.
@eyewhiskers sorry I didnt reply sooner, they are absolutely fabulous, there are not enough BAMER (Black, Asian, Minority ethnicities and Refugees) or older characters in webcomics playing significant roles and it's always refreshing to see a diverse cast of characters!
I hope you find the time to post more of your art studies and exercises here!
@nathanKmcwilliams you are an absolute star Nathan for posting even though activity was low your studies of dynamic poses are so clean and even more eloquent when drawn digitally. I hope you find the time to draw more digitally as well as hand drawn! What set up do you use to draw digitally?
I also have to mention the creatures you drew! You really have a knack for drawing them! You've really got a wonderful style you can call your own, it's captivating
Below is a picture of the statue I got but wasnt able to post earlier:
And here is an exercise were I am practicing the Jeans study:
