My name is Cooper and I'm an aspiring writer here on Tapastic. A while ago I came up with an idea for a comic that I call Monochrome Familiar! I tried visiting the idea before and it didn't work out due to some issues that I had been going through with the writing process. Now that I've developed the idea to a point where I'm satisfied with it, I'd like to give it another go! But unfortunately, I'm not really an artist. I have an unsteady hand and can't draw for the life of me. Which is why I need help.
I need an artist that I can send pages to, who can draw in a somewhat cartoony style. However, if necessary, other styles are welcome! The schedule for the pages will depend largely on your schedule, but also on the payment amount per page. My plan is to launch my Patreon for my writing soon, since I also publish written works, but until I can make a sufficient amount on that site, I'll be paying for the pages out of pocket, so I'm not asking for free art. I have some sketches of the main cast done by a friend a while ago, for reference on their designs. I'm open to changes however, as I want the characters to feel like they belong to you as well. And if you ever have a suggestion for the writing, I'm always open to ideas!
I've written a basic overview for my world here which you can read through if you want. One of the themes of the comic is to use color to our advantage. Most characters are colored in shades of gray, both as a part of the story, and as a way of symbolization. The cast that is gifted with their powers, however, each embody a different color on the visual spectrum. The world is full of forests and varying plants and creatures, so the ability to draw nature, even if undetailed, is appreciated! As for the story, without giving too much away, the cast is attempting to stop the awakening of an ancient slumbering deity that both created the world and nearly brought it to ruin, all while having to face the politics that keep them from being aided and the monsters that lurk in the forests. The cast comes from a variety of backgrounds, orientations, and ethnicities, so I believe they'll be a colorful group. (Ba dum tsh)
