I agree with sarrowsmith. If you really wanted to, you could color it. Personally, I think I enjoy it just as black and white, but again, it's up to you. Great job though!

I'm dumb. I looked into it more and you're right. It looks like Instagram does block links other than the website portion that you can fill out. Thank you so much!!!

Hiya! I'm trying to get people to go from my Instagram account to my tapastic account so I added bit.ly links in my bio. But what's strange is that the links are not turning blue and showing that they're clickable. When I go to test them, they don't redirect me! Do you guys know if I'm suppo…

I think it kind of depends on how you want to tell the story and if you can keep up with it. I've noticed (and I have done so myself) that animation is used a lot to condense action onto one page so the viewer doesn't have to click forward all the time. I've actually stopped reading a comic beca…

I love looking at old concept ideas for my stories and think "How did I get to now"? Me and My Friend was almost straight from the first draft. There is probably a page I had to change entirely and I had to add in one more for everything to make sense but other than that.... yeah, first draft. Pe…

I actually tried it less than a year ago with Me and My Friend! A lot of the previous creators also make excellent points about silent comics. I'll still throw in my two-cents. Creating a silent comic is a great way to practice character placement, to play with panel sizes/types and to create …

@mrjonzap Yeah, I get the same response as well! My family and friends support me and they really do like my stories. Right now, I'm talking with one of my close friends into making her own comic. Annnddd I technically go to an art school so.... automatic kudo points. In the end though, if cr…

I learned that panels help with pacing. Very small panels tend to be read as fast while large/long panels are read slow. When introducing a new setting, I know of two ways. You can use long panels (which will slow down the pacing) or you can focus on specific elements of the environment with short…

I depends on how you do it. My comic Pecan Pie, deals with it heavily, and honestly, I have yet to have a negative response to it. More often than not, I add some sort of animation. Typically, it's just one panel (but I do have a page that is entirely animated) Normally, I would not suggest usin…

Cute comic! Extremely abstract but I love how the images transition. Never would have thought of something like that! My first comic was an experiment for focusing on colors, and using colors to convey mood without words. Me and My Friend Apparently people did understand what I was trying to s…

Sign Summer up! I wanna hear this lol Pecan Pie

I am shamelessly showing off my most recent page. I made an animated transition and I love it so much. I kid you not, I've been staring at it for hours now. GO. GO CHECK IT OUT smiley

smiley I don't blame you on the horses. I'm terrible myself lol

This sounds really cool! Name: Summer Mythical Critter: I would love to see him as a Centaur (or Will-o'-wisp but they don't really have bodies do they...?) Reference: He's the one on the bottom page

If you have time, check out Pecan Pie.... It's has lots of gifs but no pie at the moment.... D:

Fighting death, life and cancer. But I think this one fits just as well: HELP ME ;-;

I took Physics my senior year and for one assignment, we had to make a catapult. So, two things happened. My team won (that's the most important part XD) because we had to aim at small 1 inch figurines and knock all four off of a small box (the box was like 10 inches by 10 inches?) My catapult was…

I'm still having issues with uploading on the forum so I posted it on my tumblr. Sorry TT_TT http://swimmingwhale.tumblr.com/image/157597349908`

Do you mind a quick sketch of my main character, Summer? And does it matter to you what character I sketch for you?

****raises hand**** I would love to do this as well!

I agree, the idea sound similar to Hetalia. It's a cool idea though but I think if you changed why he's connected to the land, then it won't be much of an issue!

I agree! I think it's very important to have an idea how you want it to end, even if it's summed up in a single sentence. The stuff in the middle can easily be changed, as long as it leads up to the end you want. SAME XD In my current story, I'm actually in the middle of changing how the sce…

My story, Pecan Pie, is inspired by a dream I had! The main character has cancer and is put under for his surgery. He then has to overcome certain obstacles in his dream or he might not make it... smiley

Kind of late to the party (:P) but my comic Me and My Friend is a short story about friendship and growing up!

Hmmm... I think I would be a DARK type gym leader. My set up would be Mega Gyarados, Umbreon, Mega Absol, Zoroark, Houndoom, and lastly Incineroar ;D My gym would be in an alley way and my throne would be a trash can.

I think these comics deserve some more recognition!: 1: The Adventure of Woofdog It's about a cat who think's that they are a dog! It's adorable!!! 2: The Chariot A really touching story about a girl who has an imaginary world and growing up. I can't describe much without giving it away but I t…

My top number one: 1) A good plot. If the story is good, then the art work doesn't really matter to me. My top number two: 2)Good action-to-dialogue ratio. I hate walls of text (like I'm sure everyone else hates) and it makes it hard for me to want to continue because some people put importance in …

Art to me started with me wanting to be more like my dad, but I also had fun with it as well. My parents keep a lot of my really old artwork (which I love but am embarrassed about at the same time lol). Soon, I used it as a way to prevent boredom and avoid being social. Now, I have to draw somethi…

Like what a lot of other peps said, I have a story to tell, and I have a specific way I want to tell it. What really got me going to finish a comic was a contest I didn't enter since I missed the deadline. I still was determined to finish it and publish it, so I did and posted it on Tapastic.
