you might think green had a point but he didn't. all he/she had to keep was keep scrolling if he felt it was a lot of work. he didn't have to comment, no body needed his two cents. I know it's a work that deserves pay. and that I why I was willing to give the amount if incentive I offered, I didn't get on here to he ridiculed and bashed. if I needed advise I would have asked but that's not the point. the point was to get assistance instead I'm being told how the work is too much as if I didn't know before I posted it. The work is for individuals that "ARE INTERESTED". if he wasn't, all he/she had to do was ignore the post. why do ppl fee the need to give two cents when it isn't required. again, let's not talk about this again. the position is filled already.

Yeah, no problem. I get not being able to pay but lashing out at someone who is trying to help you get better for next time seems a bit aggressive.

How are they trying to help me exactly? by telling me I'm asking for too much? where exactly is the help? I get its a lot of work but that is why I offered incentive. Telling me you "would have helped", does absolutely nothing for me. and I am aware of what he is trying to tell me but it's not needed.

I don't see you going over to the other post where the writer is asking for "4 years" of work from the artist telling them they are asking for too much.

Maybe instead of just saying "I was going to offer my help, but after reading your comic... it's just too much work for doing it for free. sorry." Be more descriptive of what they could do better with advertising. For example I personally felt like it would have been easier to just say what the incentive is instead of putting it in a doc.

people don't like to read. how can anyone edit if they can't even finish reading the doc? it was instructions and also had what I was offering.
to not bother to read it, then ask me what that are is rude. I had everything on there.

He was trying to help you by pointing out that there are better ways to advertise this. Also he might not have gone to the other one because it did not interest him so he didn't click on it.
No one has the time to go through and critique every post. Personally I think that if someone took the time to try and help you you should be grateful even if you don't take their advice.

But it's also a hassle to open the doc and if you don't offer the incentive first people are less likely to read the whole thing and just decide it's too much.

my post was clear and to the point. if someone wasn't interested all they had to do was keep it moving.

When my post was critiqued I lashed out at first but more people came in and explained to me why the person was not trying to be rude. I took down the post and made a new one which also got critiqued but by then I knew that those people were only trying to make it easier for me to find someone to work with. Green understands that they could have worded it better now you have to understand that he was just trying to make it easier on you. When you act aggressive to people trying to help you YOU come across as the bad guy and it can deter people from wanting to work with you in the future.

I was genuinely interested to take part of the project. Just that changing all the dialogues would take me a few days. I don't want to stress fix everything. I would need time to word things differently and not change the characters personalities.

I understand that. When I started writing my book I got an editor pretty quickly because I knew that it would be way to much work to do it all at once. I also looked through the doc (which took forever to access which is why the incentive should be part of the actual post) but I felt a little overwhelmed. I didn't even look at the incentive because it felt like too much.
If the incentive is mentioned in the post so people see it before they read they will go in with a positive attitude and are more likely to work with you. But when they go in with a neutral attitude because they don't know the incentive they might feel it is too much work and when they get to the incentive they lose interest, and that is even if they get all the way through.
It's a great story but they way the request was structured didn't really do a good job of encouraging people to work with you.

Hmm when I read the post for the first time the "incentive" wasn't written anywhere. I saved the link as I was still going through the pages and was middle of deciding if it was worth doing it for free...
