i have a full time job, and Maskmaker is in my mind a looong story (maybe 200+ episode, that is like 400 pages)
I know that feel, when i started i was scared af about the time and the work, it seems a giant mountain and i felt so overwhelmed by the work, I had a lot of preoccupation about my comics, but for now i am more relaxed
It's like more i publish, more i speed up, more i draw passionate, and more i love the story!
And there's other great stuff that made me realize that a lot of stress it's just stupid overthinking and it's this : 400 pages seems a lot, but if you think it's a 2 volume graphic novel, and if i menage to publish in 2/3 years they sounds like aeons but in reality is just ok, an author need about a year (more or less) to create a novel (between editors and publishing) so it's not so much in comparison!
The real secret for me is to have a fluid story, where you have precise point, but fluid narratives arc, where you can experiment, use some lastminute idea or take a break from the main arc!
