I also have an ace character who hasn't been formally introduced yet, haha. He has been name dropped and is formally appearing soon though, so may as well.

Although Richard (left) isn't an MC, I'm happy to see so many MC ace representations here from fellow creators.

I'm going to share my book with a few important caveats:

The book itself is MM and both MCs are allo cis gay men;
The aro/ace character isn't either of the MCs, but an important side character; she's the sister of one of the MCs;
She's already dead when the story begins. The book is split between present and past, and she's a huge part of the past timeline;
She specifically states her aroness; her aceness is implied.

If, after all that, you'd like to come meet Emma, have a link. She's first seen in Episode 21, titled "We'd Like The Room" and doesn's specifically state her aroness until Episode 61, set to go live on April 20th.

I've got Glitch! Her ace-ness is never stated explicitly, since it's not plot-relevant at all, but it's canon in my head.

In that case, I'll just name-drop her for now but...

I have a Wood Elf named Tera who is Ace/Aro. She hasn't appeared yet, and I don't plan to release her for a while jsut because of the timeline I"m currently on, but she IS a very lovely character. She is an elven druid whose main concern is with finding oneness with the natural world, and her journey is going to involve the stories of the wood elves and druids as a whole. She starts off as sassy and immature, but grows over the course of her stories. She's actually one of my favorite characters to write and I'm mad that I'm not at the point where I get to introduce her yet

My main character Vernon is actually Demisexual.
Thing is, it only becomes a talking point later when we really get into the sexuality of each character. There are plenty of ways you can tell at the start as he has a total of 0 reaction to Azreth's sexual coments until much later, and refuses to get engaged in any sexual conversation until he gets to REALLY know his mates.
So yeah, though he does fit, I'm not sure i should link here as it's not made obvious at the start. ^^

As an ace myself I'm excited to check out everyone's comics later!

One of my main characters Daryl (right) is asexual and aromantic. It hasn't been mentioned within the comic yet since it's currently only on it's second chapter and at this point he doesn't really know he's aro/ace (well like he does but he doesn't know the words for it or that being aro/ace is even an actual thing if that makes sense?? idk its late and the explaining part of my brain is already asleep lol). Also while him being aro/ace will be mentioned in later chapters and may have a minor plotline it's not going to be a major plot point or anything like that since that's not the focus of the comic.

This is a great idea for a thread! My comic has an ace character who is still figuring out where he fits on the spectrum. He’s a dragon named Todd and while I’m still building this part of his storyline his asexualitystarts to show up more in the story around episode 28.

Ralh is Aro/Ace tho its not ever stated as this setting and time period dosen't really have a word for it like we do.

It comes up more around arc 3 where Ralh states he wished to be a hatcher as they didnt have to have mates since they took care of the eggs and hatchlings- he also gets very uncomfortable and unsure how to respond to characters later on who try to flirt with him

Hiya ^_^ I'm an ace creator and my MC is demi-sexual and demi-romantic! It is something he learns about as he develops as a character and as a partner. I have yet to decide if it will be mentioned by name in the story yet or if it will just be heavily implied as this comes to light later in the story. Most likely the latter.

I'm ace myself so I love getting to see ace characters in other works! I have a couple of prominent asexual characters in my story.

Raul, one of the trio of main characters, is panromantic asexual, and I often draw from my own experiences in how I write that aspect of him.

There's also a member of the supporting cast, Marjorie, who is demi-aro and asexual, which will come up some later with regards her history.

Hi! Ace epic fantasy writer here.

I have a sex-repulsed ace secondary character named Fiona. She gets POV chapters and is a substantial driver of the series-wide plot. She also makes her identity as clear as it can be in a world that doesn't have the term "asexual". That said, the story is a massive epic that spends a lot more time in other characters' heads, all of whom are allo, many of whom are LGBT+. The protagonist is gay, and his romantic subplot takes up a lot of real estate in the series.

If you're looking for an ace MC or a story that deals heavily with aceness, this wouldn't be a good fit. Ditto if you aren't comfortable with on-page sex scenes (there aren't many, but they exist).

But if you're looking for a big ol' Fantasy story that happens to include explicit ace rep with a POV character, this might work for you.

Ace here as well! Tilly's a sex-positive ace, currently assumed aromantic. My next update is where it actually gets mentioned to any extent, and the next act is when we get into it a little more - no spotlights or long explanations, though. Just mostly in a 'how's that working out for you?' aspect (in that he's a lust demon). My other ace character is Zaliel, who's implied to be a sex-repulsed ace by 'not being into that sort of stuff.' She's mostly a side character who pops up every once in a while until later, when we'll actually find out more about her and some other characters' backstories.
