I definitely remember ace characters created by Pegl0 (he has no works published here on tapas tho). And 'All about lust' by Tirano Kim had adorable side character with no romantic or sexual desire.

Yes, demi-ace author here)) though I'm still a bit unsure... figuring this out for myself.
As for my OC/MCs, I've got a few in particular and a whole race of them))
Main human character states and thinks of himself as an ace, while his pals assume he's not quite one... in reality, I still think he is ace with a tint of demi-ness))) Another guy (non-human) ... well... it's a long story and not everything is known about his life before Earth yet, but he was at least ace for a long-long-few-decades term... and then he fell in love with his little fragile..... NEVERMIND))))

Okay, so like... I asked a lot of LGBTQ+ friends to help me write this singular asexual aspect of this character (and then I wrote everything else, maybe referred back to them if I had more questions).
This character has not (yet) blatantly stated that they are Asexual (I just haven't found the right situations to have em just blurt it, but I absolutely plan on having them be super clear about it later in the comic), so as far as I know, it's just really subtle unless you look at some super convoluted lore and make that connection...
That said, I'll just say it: they are literally sword.
he just has no reproductive drive, nor the organs to even do it if he wanted to.
On top of that, the sentient weapon race (scourges) have the ability to project bodies to pick themselves up and themselves swing around. So they don't really start off with a gender, a lot of the appearance and personality is self-crafted.
This is he, Koahmatu (or Koah, for short)
His person form:
To best describe it, Koah appears as this complete doofus of a greatsword, the brawn to the protag's brains, but he's actually a lot smarter in other, non-traditional ways. I wanted to specifically aim for the big chad energy.
He is on the surface, an eccentric greatsword self wielding scourge whose weapons seems a bit too large for his size, but wields it with surprising effectiveness, and nonchalantly flirts with people... while having no real intent to actually have a fling with anyone.
Internally, Koah does it because he wants people to feel comfortable, by showing genuine casual comradery with strangers or friends, he's just REALLY misguided and will call you "baby" or "handsome"
he gets it from an old friend who actually probably uses those flirtatious lines on purpose (who knows).
Koah under the surface is a pretty caring guy, and he wouldn't harm a fly (to his detriment). I would call him more "emotion" smarts rather than "pragmatic" smarts.
All this together, imagine like, this dude, utter fabulous handsome guy, has a sick ass sword, winks at a friend "you wanna have some groovy funk tonight? me, your pretty face, back of town."
Then when they meet Koah at the back of town, he's prepared a training course, because he heard they were gonna fight some dude, and Koah genuinely cared about their success and was super worried that they wouldn't be able to defend themselves against this tough-looking dude and Koah wouldn't be able to negotiate with this dude who wants to pick a fight with their friend into not fighting anyways.
A different example of Koah being flirtatious but not really:
He didn't understand the question, but it sounded like his close friend was feeling gloomy. He literally wants to understand what's wrong and try to help them.
Also, Koah is not dumb about that thing, he actually knows what it is, and is quick to reject people when it stops being casual fun banter because he's just not about that life.
Koah: Winks "How's it going hot stuff?"
Person: "Good, You available? I'm thinking we can get some alone time in a room together."
Koah: "Haha! no, I'm taken! Thanks for the offer though!" (Works either way, single or not.)
So... ye... hopefully this counts xD
My comic MC is ace XD It hasn't really been outwardly stated but it's implied, since they don't really care for romance

I mean, I'm aromantic, and technically I'm the star of Rants and Rambles, but somehow I don't think that counts, huh?
This may be somewhat cheating since I can't reveal pretty much anything, since the reveal of this character being asexual is kind of a big deal and very important in regards to further development in the story, and also, this reveal is only the second book 
so if you don't like waiting, then this one isn't for you, but if you're interested in seeing a main asexual protagonist as the story progresses and slowly focuses on them more, Individuality is here for you 
for the record, Individuality is about all these diverse characters from different backgrounds, beliefs, etc... So if you're interested in that and love drama within a modern setting with fantasy elements, this one is perfect for you!

I agree about the lack of ace representation! I'm not ace myself, but a lot of my close friends are, and we've had a lot of discussions about this. My comic features a small ensemble cast focusing on a girl named Aideen and her two friends. One of her friends is an aromantic and asexual character, and since it's such a small cast, she will eventually get a lot of screen time. Her asexuality and aromanticism doesn't come explicitly for a long time because the first book is about the characters as children, but it's an explicit part of her character in the second book. She's going to be introduced for the first time in my next issue! So like... it might be too much of a slow burn of identity discussion for you, but if you like my comic and want to come along for the ride, that's awesome!

Stef, my MC, is ace.
It's not something she figures out until a couple of books into the series, as it's not something she spends a lot of time thinking about. When she eventually comes out, she ends up on the label of panromatic asexual ("I'm a pancake? Oh no, I'm delicious...")
