At what ad count did you get your pay out?

I'm at over 687 total Ad impressions, yet I haven't made a single cent. Will it just automatically tell me when I've reached 25 dollars, or am I really that far from reaching Payout? What's the rough number of ads that got you your payout? Or even a few dollars?

The unfortunate reality is that ad rev is really really bad. I've been here since 2017 and haven't even gotten one dollar from it.

Unless people are donating ink or you have A LOT of views, 25$ are nowhere close.

Monthly ~60K views is ~20$ on Webtoons ad rev, so I think the numbers should be around the same.

I've got like $45 on my account after 4 years which, to be clear, by tapas standards is nothing to complain about, it's a lot. 18 cents of that is ads. The rest is individual people being awesome.

Also note: getting adrev at all is good. Adrev on anything that isn't video is always going to look bad numbers wise when compared to video adrev, because video spots cost more to buy and can be shown more frequently to the average user. Getting a few cents for 300-ish impressions is not bad at all unfortunately. Added to that, tapas' bar for entry to be eligable for adrev sharing is extremely low which gives a lot of people false hope about making money. You only need 100 subs here, no requirements for monthly reads or likes. In contrast on youtube you need 1000 subs and (what's harder to get) 3000 hours of watchtime (yes, the time has gone up, it used to be 400 hours).

I don't know how it was calculated before. But based on my observations over the past few months, approximately 73 ad impressions per day can earn $0.01. The impression count resets daily.

I wonder if this is the reason why many comic creators publish each page as a separate chapter instead of completing many pages before publishing a chapter. This way, they can increase the number of ad impressions.

This seems to follow the same logic as today's short-form videos - winning through quantity.

It was definitely in the equation, @wolflu66. That and more frequent updates is better for sharing. I can't really increase my production pace sustainably. 1 page a week is what I can do.

I like to think that as much happens on one of my pages as in most scroll comics' chapters, though.

Personnally i post page per week when I'm active because my chapters take 6 months to a year to complete and the algorithm punishes you for not posting lol. Also it helps get a schedule and rhythm going. As I knew from other ad platforms that there was no way the ads would amount to anything, that's really not my priority and I highly doubt it's anyone else's on the community tab.
