Bedridden and bored... recommend some comics or movies?

I was at work the other day and a customer got me sick -.-'
Now I'm stuck in bed and can't really go anywhere right now and it's been recommended to me that I give my comic a break and get some rest... this is just torture right now.

Feel free to link your comic or someone else's and maybe recommend some movies too?

No hard feelings if I don't subscribe to your comic plus I'm a little picky about what I subscribe to but I may continue to drop in every now and then to check on updates and may possibly subscribe later on.

Sorry to hear that man, I HATE it when that happens. Especially when they go all coughing fit or sneezing right in front of you... or worse... RIGHT AT YOUR FACE O.o

P.S I totally Recommend watching Dragon Ball Evolution! It will make any sickness go away! Try IT!

Kung Fury- it's a hilarious action packed 30 minute kung fu spoof movie

Journey to The West- Very visually pretty and funny kung fu movie you can find on Netflix

Or I waste a lot of time on youtube watching Game Grumps, and the Nostalgia Critic.

For comics, hmmm (I can't see your reading list on Tapastic, so I'm not sure what you're into), however these are some of my favorites:

Some of those old Ray Harryhausen sword-and-sandal films might cheer you up. They're always good escapism. Clash of the Titans is my favorite.

That's basically what this customer did! I work in a shoe and clothing store and a customer came in sick, he pretty much lost his voice and he was coughing a lot. I was hoping and praying he wouldn't ask me for assistance but he did...I slowly went over to help him and he ended up coughing on me by accident...I screamed internally and I wanted to punch him... in the face...with a shoe box and my fist in it...
As for drinking lots of fluids well I've been doing that. I was mostly drinking cranberry juice to help numb my throat even though I'm not fond of the taste xD my kidneys must love me right now though. Now I'm moving on to my orange juice which won't last long either.

im a EXPERT at gettin sore throats and i always end up drinkin orange juice when im sick too cuz yaknow. its bottled sunshine. everyone knows that. its science. but APPURENTLY orange juice is bad for sore throats cuz of the acid or whatever? i mean im pretty sure the sunshine magic trumps the acid but IF yur not feelin down for it hot drinks are suppose to feel like a thousand whispering angels giving you CPR

@TrustyShamrock I'm an expert at getting sore throats too >.< mine started out scratchy but now it's scratchy and sore! UGH!
I also used to get strep throat a lot when I was a kid. And as for orange juice...
(looks at small cup full of orange juice next to me)

Besides shamelessly plugging my own comic, which should keep you busy for a little while at least, I'll recommend Miss Abbott and the Doctor. If that doesn't make you feel better, nothing will.

As for movies/tv-series... Here we go:

1.) The Neverending Story - my go-to feel-good movie when I'm ill.

2.) Treasure Planet - look, it's age-of-sail seafaring in space. What's not to love?

3.) Star Wars Rebels - small, bite-sized episodes of space-adventure. Perfect for those who aren't feeling up for anything super-complicated, but still want to be entertained.

Yikes, sorry to hear you caught something from a customer other than the regular amount of stress... Here's my comic, it' called The Green-Eyed Sniper and so far it's short (updates to resume on 24 August), so you can read it quickly between a sneeze and a cough or something. No hard feelings if you don't subscribe, but it's sci-fi with much drama, romance and action in it, which, at least to me, is quite cool

As for a movie, I would recommend Nightcrawler (it's on Netflix), the story of a guy who comes up with all sort of jobs to get by, until he starts exploiting crime news: it's gripping, ferocious, and will likely leave you speechless.

Don't know what genre you're looking for, but if you're trying to kill time then you could always marathon all the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings movies. I mean, that's basically a whole day!

witchy is my favourite comic on this entire site. its beautifully drawn, the characters are amazing, and the concept is super original and exciting. a world where someones magic is equal to the length of their hair, and if your hair is too long youre killed.

les normaux is a slice of life comic with a twist - its set in a paris full of magic. each episode features around a different character, all pivoting around the lives of sebastien and his boyfriend.

hiddenfolk was featured a while ago, its got really nice art and an entruiging storyline. warning for suicide stuff from the first page on.

admittedly all of those have been vaguely magic-y but this one, breakout, isnt. its about teenagers with superpowers in a glasgow juvie prison. bright colours and bright characters. think misfits meets avengers academy.

Other than my comic I really recommend Space Mullet for some sci-fi fun!
The art is amazing and the story is intense.

Just thinking about it, I gotta go back and read it again!

If the throats too sore, you could also gargle with mouthwash to kill the germs, since those bacteria is the cause of sore thoats

Dissolving salt in water and gargling that is also supposed to work. I'll sometimes ad lemon juice, too.
