The best thing about drawing is seeing the progression in your art style. I love seeing growth in art skills and I want to see all of yours! Post one of the very first drawings of your OCs and then the most recent drawing of that character. I'll start it off by posting pictures of my odd OC, Clint.... (drawn on a school desk of course)

Ema (Left) was originally from an entirely different story

Now she's in VERUS the character difference is actually bigger than the design difference

I use poser instead of sketching in my comic but i now draw out all the figures. when i first came up with Cassie she was younger, i decided to make her a bit older when i started writing the comic over.

The first coloured picture I drew of Jonan, Tareth, and Severian, which I drew 10 (!!!) years ago in college, and about 4-5 years before starting Runewriters:

Bonus round: this little girl, who was originally going to be a little boy, is just now being introduced in the comic, and is now DIFFERENT IN EVERY CONCEIVABLE WAY

Oooh, this is a nice topic!

This is very likely the first version of what would eventually become Masahiro that I ever drew, back in college. Which is, uh, six years ago now? At that point, I had NO idea what I wanted to do with him - I just wanted to draw some dude with a sword and one arm.

This earlier version of him had an arm chopped off at the shoulder - the current version is only missing his hand from the wrist down. .... Also, the current version doesn't have a comically oversized sword. XD

More current pictures, from the last year or so:

... but he's stayed basically similar to the first iteration. I've changed his age, I've changed the extent of his missing bodypart, I've tweaked his clothes, but you can still see they're intended to be the same person.

Kazue, on the other hand, has changed a LOT.

This is Kazue circa 5 years ago. I think this is the first time I ever tried to draw her. She didn't even have a name at this point - she was just "Sidekick #2".

Here's my contribution. There have been a few adjustments to Jed's coat and the tools he carries. His boots have changed, he looks younger and his hair isn't as scruffy now. Over all his design improved as my skills did but he's still pretty much the same.
