You know why? It isn't LGBT content. It's service to horny straight girls. Genuinely. Guys watch lesbian porn and women want something slightly more layered things to get their rhetorical rocks off, so hot gay anime boys going through a stereotypical story arc with shallow 'character development' is much more suited to them. It's objectification, just like regular porn or harem anime but now people can act progressive for having it on their site (even though it's probably the exact opposite to actual gay romance comics in a lot of ways), simple as that. Tapas is playing to their demographics and despite how annoying it is that the selection of professional webcomics aren't as diverse as I'd like, I can respect Tapas for that.

Tapas is playing to their demographics, horny teenage to mid-20s females who like webcomics. It's a profitable part of the webcomics business. I genuinely don't think it has anything to do with internalized misogyny, because I feel like books like Mistborn wouldn't exist if that were the case, but that's besides the point. They just want to see a twink get dicked by a sadomasochistic buff dude. I genuinely think it's like that highly overly-produced lesbian porn for men, but the inverse. As gay comics for actual gay men are really different, and the same thing for lesbian pornography for women, both of which are a minority, and neither of whom really want to be associated with regular lesbian porn or BL. Keep in mind I'm saying this as a dude who's drawn a lot of porn for money and has talked to a lot of BL or NSFW artist that are more popular than me.

Although I read and write BL, there is merit to this. I like stories that are more realistic and not just there for straight up BL porn. I swear if I have to see another panel like this (I'm gonna make a public scene):

AND, if you need to have it in the plot, please don't forget all comic making skills while that part is happening. I've had some harsh realizations about a comic's objective when suddenly the anatomy and composition are all over the place, sometimes literally, after such a nice introduction and buildup.

If it is in the ABO/ger universe, I could accept the self-lubing thing... but if it is in the normal universe, unless it was already 'filled' in, the person who put it in should probably think twice. Rectal discharge doesn't sound very... good 🤣
