Bodytypes and how it affects fighting

for me personally I would usually design not only my characters aesthetics but also their fighting style as well. For one of my smaller characters I would give them a more agile style, utilizing speed or for my current page, kicks. While bigger OC would rely on strength base style like wrestling, boxing and etc

Both use strenght and speed. Kicks have more range (unless you have short legs) and punches are more precise.

Do you remember Kungfu Panda?

There's a character that is literally a bug that uses his speed, giving his mantis claws and feet to deal damage to his opponent whereas the panda uses his excess girth in combat.

I guess what I am trying to say is that smaller guys tend to use speed and overall dexterity to win. But I do feel the trickier part is to depict the motion and speed of the characters in a fight as a comic in general is a still image.

There are about a dozen different ways it's been done. Pick one.
No need to re-solve a puzzle that's been solved for decades.

I have a heavily build tall character, and she mainly fights with archery and ice attacks. She's not a berserker or a melee fighter, and her height gives her an advantage.
