Brainstorm: What scares you about the ocean?

I also never really considered the Goblin sharks to be that creepy overall comparing it to the other horrors mentioned above but after I saw this I quickly changed my mind...

I heard a story about one of my relatives (maybe it was my grandma's cousin) who was on a ship which was shipped wrecked but survived (he was the only one) and was stranded in the ocean for days. They were able to eventually find him but his family said he wasn't the same. The event was so traumatic it gave him PTSD.

I was scared of the Ocean because of sharks, now I know that sharks hate human blood so the only thing is stepping on a stingray barb or being stung by a jellyfish that can send me to the hospital. ( I wear water shoes) Otherwise I love swimming in the sea salty Ocean of fun!

Actually there is, it's not an anaerobic environment like space We just can't pull the oxygen out of the water like fish can since our lungs just fill up with water instead of filtering it properly. However, if we had gills...

I actually love the ocean. The vastness of it is scary to an extent but space is even more so terrifying when you consider the scale of us compared to the rest of the universe.

95% of the Ocean is completely unexplored. Only three people have been in the deepest part of the ocean! It's so much more dangerous to explore even - as when it comes to exploring space all we need is to keep an Atmosphere, but with exploring oceans you have to keep out tons of water pressure. For example, the bottom of the Mariana's Trench is 1,100 atmospheres!

Well, of course, there is air. It's just the fact that humans are unable to harness it, like you said, that bothers me. But for the most part, I think the ocean is captivating.

I don't particularly fear deep waters, but the ocean has always been a mystery point to me, it's filled with things that I could hardly imagine and believe me, I've tried to imagine what could be down there, the deeper you go the harder it becomes to imagine what is crawling at the bottom, a place that we have barely scrapped information on because the force of the pressure is so harsh that it would literally make you explode/implode, it isn't the sharks and the prospect of drowning that gives me the chills,but the thought that somewhere at the bottom, there is a creature that can withstand such harsh terrains, evolution is the scariest part of the ocean.

I'm afraid of both oceans and lakes because I almost drowned three times Also the Bobbit worm is fucking terrifying.

There's just...THINGS in there, where it's dark and cold and could come from any direction! They eat you, THEN kill you!! O.O

Whenever I see pictures of bottom dweller fish or worse, big fishy dinosaurs, it paralyzes my heart with fear!! All the nope!!!
