Camp NaNoWriMo (April)

I do Camp every year! I try for both sessions, though I usually only survive the April one, haha. So happy to see other NaNoers here!
I've been doing NaNo since 2008, so I always get super excited for every single session. I'm going to do my best to tackle three different projects this April: 50,000 words for a totally new story; and 50,000 split between a re-write and a sequel I've been slowly working on. I figure about a week and a half in, I'll have a good sense of which project I'm mostly likely to finish, and then I'll probably ending up focusing exclusively on just one. That's how I usually do it!

@JBrentonParker Oh my goodness, that's amazing! November was my first one and it was so fun, somehow I managed to complete 50k but I thought I was gonna die LOL! Setting aside time to write and do something creative everyday was just such a great feeling and made me so happy, haha.

@KRWilliams That's such a great idea, I always end up spending either too little or too much time editing So I think having a specific goal to edit is smart haha

@Trevor Yeah, NaNoWriMo is exactly how @The_BVanD explained it to be. There's "camps" you sign up for, you can either get placed into "cabins" with random writers who have also signed up or with people you know. This is just to have company, motivation, and fun along your writing goals

@yansusustories You can always make your goal smaller and then keep going if you reach it! For instance, I think 10k words is very achievable in a month​

Well, I'm probably kind of an oddball but I'm writing 100k words every month anyway So I'd rather want to go with a non-quantity goal like ... I don't know, finishing one of my projects, for example? But at the moment I can't really say if that's realistic since the one I'd probably go for only started a few days ago so there would probably still be 50k+ to go at the beginning of April and I'm writing several projects at the same time so not sure if that 50k would be realistic for April

Well, I guess I could also start something new at the side like a novella or something and try to finish that? Then I wouldn't need to do so much That could work beside my other projects ponders
