Can you use "personal use" fonts in an ad-revenue comic?

Hi! I'm looking up fonts to use for my comic right now and I wanted to ask if it's okay to use non-commercial fonts in a tapastic comic with ad revenue/tipping turned on. I also aspire to print my comic someday, but could I just buy the rights to the font then?

Nope. Don't do it. Personal use literally means personal use. Just for you.
Often, you can't buy these, that's why they're personal use only.

There are thousands of free commercial use fonts that are amazing.

You can find a lot here: http://www.1001fonts.com/
Click on the little sales tag in the bar and it will only show you commercial use allowed fonts.

Thanks for the advice! I'll look around there, I need a very specific kind of font for the cover though but I'll see.

I wouldn't do it, once you're making revenue, it's not technically 'personal use' I'd use a regular font or purchase the rights for one as you mentioned.

I can't recommend Blambot enough!

We purchased a fair number of fonts from them in past.
