I want to know the sweet spot for readers when reading comic. Since i feel like my story will be better when it’s longer because the plot is dense(supernatural/fantasy/mystery) but i know some readers who don’t like long chapters. Please share what your preference is :relaxed:

Note: chapter==update

  • 30 panels/chapter
  • 40 panels/chapter
  • 50 panels/chapter
  • 70 panels/chapter
  • longer

For my comic, I go about 20 to 24 pages long. For every page, it's about 6 panels... sometimes a bit more and sometimes, it's less.

6 x 20 = 120 panels... more or less!!

I vote it wrong because i didn't see that 'chapter==update' soon. :sweat_smile:

UsualIy I split my chapter into 3~5 'updates'. Some are short and some are long, depends on how much i want to show.

Counting into averages, that will be 5 pages per update.
so that's about 22~27 panels/update.

Here's my actual stats, not counting chapter splash pages.
Chap Ex 0 (17 pages) 83 panels.
Chap 01 (23 pages) 107 panels.
Chap 02 (18 pages) will be around 95~99 panels.
