I'm subscribed to you!! I LOVE your characters and themes and I'm honestly inspired for my own cult I'm working on! You had no right making Anopheles THAT fine tho goddamn

Dude that is genius!! Might have to steal that stickynote idea tbh. Also me and one of your weapons share a name lol-
LOVE the character designs and how they are all different but also you can tell they're from the same universe! Would you happen to have a link to this series?

Due to the simplistic artstyle of our comic we've been able to wing it instead of relying on character sheets. All I do is describe the character's appearance in brief blurbs and my artist is able to get it in one shot since y'know... they're stick figures lol. Here's an example.

ABOUT JOCKS AND CHEERLEADERS

The Jocks have jackets and footballs. Meanwhile the cheerleaders have triangles for skirts and pom-poms. Do not do something childish like using circles to indicate that the girls have breasts.

With this description he was able to create two mainstays.

Result:

As for the main character well... he looks like this lol:

We wanted to make him to be the most generic-looking stick figure of them all.

As for the anime segments, I'm not sure if my artist Burd has some, ALTHOUGH without giving too much away, we will be using them more often in the future.

Weapons in my story matter so very much to the identity of the characters so it is crucial that they are depicted the proper way. I'm very picky about they way my pokey sticks look.

Aw, thank you ! The sticky notes seem to be pretty popular among other comic artists I've seen, I'm glad that I can give you ideas to make things easier.

I noticed the name too while writing up the post, but hadn't thought of anything clever to add... Oh well  I really do love the name Aurelius - it's so stately.

My comic isn't for the faint of heart, but here's a link if you're interested:

I was just thinking about how I never make reference sheets for my comic lol
It's pretty interesting to see how everyone's approach differs.

Just a couple turn-around sheets... it seems over time I've altered the proportions a bit. I like these still... but they are a tad long (height-wise) for a comic strip, so it's time to update them I guess.

Seeing how you all do your ref sheets, I've added her side profile, eye shape, and the shapes I've used throughout her design! I'm working on her brother now but I am honestly so happy with how these are coming out!

I also love seeing all your characters so please do keep it up!
