That's interesting, I can totally feel the cartoon vibe ahah. The story and world is very dark and creepy to me, but I really like the color process, good job ! The characters are super nice too, you introduced them quite naturally !
I like the fact that there are plenty of characters that all stand out from each other by their abilities and preferences, however I find it hard to focus on the mystery since everything is super unusual in this universe. Like a talking bag is weird and must be hidden whereas the butler is a huge jacked penguin ( I love it) and there are furries everywhere living totally normally among humans. And why are they all latinos ? I have many questions about that universe haha !
These are really great advices, I can't wait to start reading your comic as well. I think I do use the same kind of techniques but basically, I start by clarifying what is it that I want my characters to learn through their investigation/quest, so I start by the end message and then I build it all the way back up to a beginning before my chars actually know about the mystery. then I try to link all the scenes I find important or interesting together. Character development, bounding, relationship forming etc.. These are all super important to me, hence the reason it starts off as a very slice of life thing. But the scenario is always flexible and I like to change it and add additional degrees of complexity when it fits and helps building a richer world/story.
Hello there ! Thank you alot for the feedback. Yeah, that is because I started Teenparty as if it wasn't going to be story driven, and I just wanted it to comic strips, but I fell short of ideas soon and I loved my characters so much I wanted to involve them into the story of what was supposed to be another comic. It's a great merging if you prefer haha.
I'll read your comic soon !
I really like how that sounds, I can feel like there might be some similar themes going on with my story, I think this will be a great read, and maybe it'll help me see my story from a different aspect. I love the fact there is a real space and time setting.
I'm super glad you appreciate the story and thanks for your opinions on my drawing style ! By all means keep on reading and tell me what you think
I do feel that. That's why I think it's great that we gather here to talk and eventually discover new ways of writing and drawing. I feel like going on to actively do research to find inspiration or learn about a subject you want to treat in your story is overall a very useful thing.
Oh that's an interesting way to do it. I love when the tropes are reversed or explored in new ways.
Yakuza games are amazing indeed !
