As far as I know, everyone has to manually update.

I updated it and took a glance at it...I dont have any issues looking at aesthetically; I guess I'll have to go through it to see if there are any big changes with the features...I also had to update it on my iPad as well.

I don't mind the icon graphic changing, but I just don't like how it's devoid of color.

Blender 2.8 alpha had suffered through the same thing, but they had added color during the official stable release. Plus you can change the icon's colors.

In CSP, this lack of color is permanent.

This minimalist trend is ridiculous, and I much prefer the older icons.

You can change the color of icons in CSP and even make your own.

Yeah, the major clip update was to make it easier to customize, I saw theres a slider in the preferences to not make the darkness/white void so harsh

Ok, yeah.

Thanks for reminding me you can change each individual icon's background color.

The only downside is that we have to do them for each and every single subtool separately.

I haven't run into issues so far, maybe a slight pause when I want to change tools because I don't recognize it right away but am able to find it pretty soon. Just that initial 'eh? oh, there its is' moment. So far I've been able to go about my normal business just fine.

It's too bad it's too jarring for others, tho I can see where you are coming from.

I hate the new icons, not cause they make me feel lost, but cause they look so plain is hard to distinguish between them. I don't see the reason they need to update the icons so much in all honesty. I do like the feature they added to the Ipad version (file management).

I still hate the Ipad IU and functions, why make it design around a laptop instead of around tablet -_- The Iphone IU is better and that was just release!

They have a UI for touch devices so I don't see a point in changing the iPad UI when users have that option. Personally I prefer desktop UI on iPad Pro because it's almost the same size as my cintiq 13.

I primarily use CSP on the desktop, the previous UI is gray rather than black/dark so this update is very welcome at least for me. The text is a lot easier to read too, the icons are simpler and less distracting, although for those who just recently started using CSP might have some trouble getting used to the new UI.

IMHO, the new UI isn't that much problematic to get used to especially when you've been using the program for a very long time, mainly because the UI elements are still on the same place as before, only the icons changed. Trust your muscle memory.

So if you are new and confused with the new UI, I highly suggest assigning a shortcut key to the tools and actions you use a lot
