Ok, yeah. Thanks for reminding me you can change each individual icon's background color. The only downside is that we have to do them for each and every single subtool separately.
I don't mind the icon graphic changing, but I just don't like how it's devoid of color. Blender 2.8 alpha had suffered through the same thing, but they had added color during the official stable release. Plus you can change the icon's colors. In CSP, this lack of color is permanent. This minim…
I dunno about this 1 page drama deal ;>.>
I'd be in an absolute fit of jea....rage. These are mostly comedies, with simple art... Ugh. Sadly it's the opposite of what I want to create.
I am being forced into such a beneficial circumstance. WHY ME?! I still do not acknowledge you short comics! And don't get me started on how much single page yonkoma comics abuse this system. 1 page, 4 panels on said page. Profit.
shakes my fist These companies are all the same! $n$
In the end, I think I'd have to go with short comics, estimating around 20 pages or so. I don't want super tall pages and I want to be able to cut where I want. The 20 backup pages will fill in white space, help pacing or used to patch where I need it. Base it around Tapas's limitations, then fo…
And it's not like I'm disregarding advice even if I may be adverse to the ideas. I mean, I am definitely gaining more perspective. Though it's sinking in slowly.
No I'm not being sarcastic, if it's not written in exactly the same way then it's not the same. The way you wrote it made a lot more sense, though like I said I still have some reservations in some areas. But now I can at least see a workable path if I give concession.
I've seen some pretty good replies already in this thread, and this adds on that quite a bit. This kind of stuff is good, if you guys have more insights like this, you should let me have it. Though I still don't see how having a 940 x 4000 file is a good idea for loading.
Thank you silverraven0 for your understanding, and like you I respect everyone's opinions as well!
I'm just saying, and 10 pixels isn't much better than 1x1.
For you maybe, but not everyone wants to use 4000px tall. The problem is that 1x1 pixel image is also considered 1 page. Not that I would make anything that small, or for some reason people think I'm making some epic 160+ webcomic chapter. It's the fact that if I upload small images, it counts…
By page limits I meant page count. If Tapas didn't have the 40 page count limits, and just straight up 80MB chapter/episode limits, or even half that, 40MB, I'd be pretty happy.
That's a pretty good idea! You get imaginary cookie!
Well, I'm not a big fan of page limits, no matter how big the page size is.
Right except people keep thinking that I'm talking about myself for some reason. I am sticking out for creators as a whole.
Let's say I want to upload to two places in particular: Webtoons and Tapas. Webtoons has a 800px x 1280px page size with a maximum file size of 2MB per page, with a 20MB maximum episode limit. Tapas has a 940px x 4000px page size, with a maximum file size of 2MB, with 40 page limit. Now I cou…
And the reason I complain is BECAUSE I like Tapas. Why would I come to the forums, and write all this up if I didn't care. I would've just went wherever I fancied. Is it wrong of me to want one for one uploads? With the way it is, I can't just upload to Webtoons, and then using the same file…
No as a business you can't afford to lose any creator at all. Sure there is adblock on desktop platforms, and some mobile web browsers have pretty good ad blocking built in. The only platform they have control over is their App, which like you said may not bring much revenue. Things behind a p…
It's free to entice creators. But because you upload to their platform, you are the product. Because without products, they wouldn't be able to entice webcomic readers to come to their website or app. Then they won't get their ad money. Without creators they are nothing.
That's the wrong way to think about creators. If that's the case, all the reason not to upload to Tapas.
I am here as a creator, looking for opinions. If someone can convince me, that'd be the best case. But as of yet, I haven't been convinced otherwise. And maybe there are other like-minded creators who were on the fence or haven't voiced their opinions.
If they truly feel that way about their creators. Then it's probably better not to stick around. It all adds up. ONE prospect creator can become TWO talented prospects, then THREE, on, and on.
The people of Tapas forums doesn't necessarily have to care. But Tapas the company should care. Because, I may be just one person here right now, but what if there's a dozen other creators in this wide world who has the same opinion as me. That may not seem like a lot but let's discount me for a…
Are you telling me the Gif doesn't count as a page? So I can string together an infinite number of gifs for that chapter?
That's what I mean when I say it would feel like a waste if I didn't use the whole 940 x 4000. (And I don't see how having this huge page helps make loading better than a bunch of small pages loading in as you scroll down) If I cut up 940 x 300, that's one page wasted. They should keep the 2MB l…
Thanks for the comments guys. It's nice to be able to see aspects I couldn't realize myself.
Webtoon Originals can have double, 80 images or so per chapter. I don't see that affecting them negatively in anyway, and they tend to be the favorites.
I do agree with what say, and at the same time I respect you for respecting my opinion. Definitely 30-40 pages is very good, but for vertical comics, that might as well be about half that, because our panels are very big, so maybe about 3-4 panels per page. Then we have to take into account vert…
