a little bit... im a very cheap person with very little storage, and buying books (or anything that can be borrowed) was never encouraged when i was a kid. buuuut some stuff i buy out of sentimentality, or because of their worth for studies.
so i have like, a few standalone issues of some marvel comics and one wicdiv, ive got some of gerard ways stuff in volume form, and the first volume of the runaways, and ive got some entry level graphic novels. the graphic novels and volumes is smth i wanna build for the sake of study, right now ive got:
- here
- both of alison bechdels novels
- maus
- vertigo (lynd ward)
- goliath (tom gauld)
oh, and ive got an anthology of european underground comics i picked up in paris. its great, very weird.
i also have like, one volume of loveless. i was kinda tentatively into it when i was 12, the art is gorgeous and it was more or less my first experience of anything gay. but also... its... egh
the thing is, im not a big fan of reading comics on paper. the binding annoys me, theres bits of the page i need to abuse the book to see, all that. most of the comics ive ever read have been on scanlation sites or apps, or... other digital means. so like, if i buy a comic on paper, its really either sentiment and ill likely never read it, or bc i cant find a digital copy. besides here, that you need to read on paper imo.
