If you have the budget, I'd highly recommend getting a monitor calibrator because our eyes aren't that accurate when trying to calibrate colors. It's well worth the money to know that what you see on your monitor is the true, print-worthy color and consistent across devices (well, consistent enough. Some phones/laptop manufactueres will still skew their screens bluer or yellower than the true color)
I have a used Spyder4 from ebay that I got for $50 bucks and it still works amazingly three years later.
