Throwing together stock pictures and trying out new fonts to brainstorm. I'm liking this combo. The font has that sharpie marker feel I like. Thoughts on composition, flowers, anything?

nice idea, and like the flower theme
While i like the yellow font, it might be overshadowed by the flowers especially as its a light color on a white background, I could be wrong but always have a feeling the title is the 1st thing that catches the looker's eye.
If you need help deciding a font color, you can maybe check color palettes on google, search for eg. "color palette violet pink yellow green" and see what images come up, might find nice combinations with other colors that can be used for the fonts. The font style is awesome indeed with sharpie marker feel!

if it's a cover you may want to also work within the cover dimensions 960 width 1440 height
see link with Tapas dimensions:

Keep in mind, as your title is a wide composition it would become smaller on cover, but would look great as banner
Keep up the good work and all the best

I hear what you're saying. This is just to brainstorm, get a clearer picture of what I want. I have the dimensions set up in a separate app for when I have the visuals worked out. I'm thinking maybe a sky blue as the background color. Not sure yet. Or maybe a darker color to make the yellow pop? My digital art skills are lacking which is why I focused on story-important flowers instead. Think I should try to design something else for a cover? I figured I'd use it for cover and banner.

Sky blue might be light and clash with yellow font.
As you said, yea dark color, usually cool dark colors (with low/no saturation) would help vibrant/saturated or light colors like yellow etc pop more but maybe ask yourself 'what feeling you want the viewer to get when they 1st see your cover' eg. peace, light-hearted, mystery, feeling of dread etc

The flowers on white bg may stir a lighthearted/happy feeling, but on a dark background may stir a sense of mystery or dread, so whichever fits your story more.

Awesome job for putting the effort, even if said your art skills lacking, I do enjoy the floral theme and it does appear that they are significant to your story

Can test it out on a canvas with cover's dimensions and double-check if it shrinks too much (i could just be overestimating too)

tried to google some palettes incase any additional colors appeal to you for font color. If on a white background a darker color for font seems ideal, just so it's legible from afar, since the cover is usually small on the Tapas app etc

I wasn't even thinking about the tiny view on the app. Sky blue definitely wouldn't work with yellow.. Thanks for the palettes. I'm trying some different font colors. Definitely wanna keep that light hearted feel to the cover so maybe the background will just stay white.
