@Comic Creators: Do you read comics yourself?

I'm lucky enough to have the time, so yeah, I read and enjoy comics on tapas, comicfury and other sites. There really is a lot of good stuff out there!

I think i am following about 70 comics?.

Most of the comics i`m reading are here on Tapas. Save for some exceptions, those have their own website.

I read mostly for entertainment purposes but i may have subconsciously learned some things from the comics i see. I learn faster when i am enjoying the subject i am studying/observing.

I read both webcomics and stuff like DC but I really relate to not finding the time ^^;
Usually read stuff months or even years after it's published/uploaded.

At least I have a nice chunk to read once I do find the time to catch up on comics I follow here on tapas

I read more webcomics because as soon as I catch up with them, I have some time to wait before the next episode comes out. It also helps with ideas sometimes.

Personally, I like to read a few episodes a night before bed. It's like a bed time story, and it kinda makes a small amount of time to read.

As a comic creator myself I usually have very limited time a day for both work and comic creation time as well as private irl schedule stuff (socializing for example), so I barely have time to go and check out comics myself

yh thats my sitch too. i used to read aaaaall the marvel (you gotta read all of this to have any idea whats going on) and a few indie titles on online subscriptions, but as college picked up i fell behind, and then had to drop them all. i still need to catch up on titles such as wicdiv and ms marvel, need to find a way to read them on my phone. but these days, its hard to even keep up with the tapas comics i read, they can pile up into the 20s until i binge them all in one gruelling sitting.

i really need to read more, bc ik reading leads to better making, but im struggling to find the time for it. if i were to put in place a nice steady comic-reading routine nowadays, i think itd focus on graphic novels mostly, and some serialised comics for funsies

Tbh I barely find time x__x between work, drawing and squeezing in time to socialize and play games, it's tough xD

I used to read a lot more, which is where my interest came from though. I have a few complete manga series, several misc other volumes, a sizable sonic the hedgehog comic collection, etc. A year and a half back when i first discovered tapas I read quite s bit too, but i wasn't working yet xD

Nowadays I'm like a few other people have said: I don't read frequently, but every now and then I'll sit down and binge a large chunk of a comic on here, or buy a new manga volume from the couple of series that I'm slowly collecting, etc.

I wish I had more time to because I easily fall behind on a lot, but yes I do read a lot of (or at least try to) webcomics, manga, comics.

Out of those three I probably make time to read webcomics the most.

I mostly only read japanese stuffs, I work during the day, draw comic during the night, my reading time is 1AM to 3AM, and yeah, I always look like a dead fish at work.

I do which is the reason I have so many accounts throughout webcomic platforms, I just need more time to read them

I absolutely do. To not read comics would be like being a musician and never listening to music...?

I created a webcomic because I enjoyed reading webcomics. I don't really "study" or "take notes" per say about other people's technique or anything heavy like that. I just read like I would watch TV or consume any other form of entertainment. And like watching TV, its all done in doses. I don't have a huge amount of time to read comics, but I have a numbered few I'm pretty devoted to.

I do! I generally stick to graphic novels and shorty story comic collections. I'm not a huge reader of individual issue comics such as Marvel and DC type stuff. I try to set aside one weekend a month whee I sit down and just plow through a ton of reading, both novels and comics. I make sure I don't have anything else to do and then I just go to town on my TBR pile.

Jup, I read other webcomics too. Funny thing they often don’t match the genre in which my comic is.
While I enjoy creating comedy, I enjoy reading everything from romance to adventure to horror to erotic to, you guessed it, comedy again.
As long as the writing is great and the art nice I read it
I don’t have a lot of time for briwsing tho, but I usually make time in the evening to work down my readers list

Yes! Though ill admit im kind of picky on what i read and if i can get my hand on the paperback that could be even better. I usually read comics when i have free timw on the weekends so if i find something during that time im more likely to read more

Yes! I read comics everyday, they all have different genres, like thriller, mystery, drama, comedy and slice of life.
And I have to be honest that I don't actually pay too much attention when it comes to art style, if the story is very intriguing and have a very good flow, I can read all episodes in a day or two (depending on how many are there and how much free time I have).

Not so much at the moment. Most of the time, now, when I read a comic, I spend more time trying to analyse it in hope of learning something art-wise than really enjoying it XD

I do read comics because I love comics! Unfortunately, because of being a creator I don't have as much time as I used for reading and especially finding new comics to read. I do have a list of online comics I check regularly, and everytime I go to the library I "accidentally" wind up in the comic section and leave with one... or ten comic books.

Usually evenings have been my time for reading, both comics and books, but recently I've been so tired I just fall asleep straight away. Hopefully I'll be able to have a nice break soon and binge read everything I can.
