I really like my MAOR series to the point i did/do a lot of extra stuff for myself and also those who follow my works.
I've worked on some tracks for my series, I think i'll slowly put out my tracks for act 1. It's just conceptual music tracks but I can say they're decent enough. (as music rookie) Some of the tracks can really be heard by Tapas readers (Soundcloud widget) in some episodes in the future.
Weirdly i'm not that fond of doing art constantly. Also not that fond of social media-ing.
But i do draw some sketches & line art as 'extras and put it on Pixiv or Patreon. Sometimes I make a series of similar art and post as worldbuiding-- Extra 101 for readers who like some of my fantasy world stuff.
I think i've bitten by a creative bug lately. I have an idea of making a special kind of 'Cast' page (not for Tapas). One that can see how characters are added on the chapters-- by scrolling through a dial. This may take a while to figure out how to implement it on webpage... i think it will be fun for the readers.
Many of these things i did may not impact my comic view counts or grow popularity, but i'm not that cared-- because it's FUN, and also the proud feeling to see the slow expansion of my series. I think those can bring more faithful readers / fans to stay.
Hopefully in future i get to fund for my 1st special merch item, and that is a dream becoming reality... hohoho I'm happy just to think about that!
So what are your ways to entice your readers, what did/do/will you do?
