I do prefer black and white. Maybe it has something to do with the style of it and all, my mind sticks to B/W when thinking of manga.
That said, it could be interesting to see the colors evolving as you progress. You'd have room for practice and stuff and that's always fun.
Also, since it's a comedy skit, color can give you some nice options for expression. Not that B/W can't, of course, but...
