Legitimately having trouble thinking of specific tropes I love. I could name off about two dozen comics I love easily, but tropes? Mostly drawing blanks. Hrmm... I guess I really love it when there are Romance comics that pace out the romance aspect, and develop the characters as time goes on. I don't expect Casablanca, but I wish more comics that used certain tropes at least developed who the characters were more, and paced out the romance more, so it has some kind of weight to it. I.E. Ghost Lights, that comic does just that, and it's great. You should read it. My Beloved Emperor too, you should read it as well.
I love comics that have an art-style that's similar to that of Icy Copper or An Ordinary Demon. There is something about the aesthetic these comics employ that I absolutely adore. I don't see it often, so when I find a comic that uses something similar, it immediately garners my interest.
PS: in the same boat honestly. Found a comic called City Vamps recently, that, despite kinda being dumb teenage stuff, I really liked. Even with the overwhelming feeling that I shouldn't be reading it.
