Comics and Graphic Novels with Reptiles as the Protagonists?

As the title says, I am looking for comics and graphic novels where the protagonists are reptiles. Yes, they need to be the protagonists. That is important. Usually they're just side characters. Having them as the protagonists are... sparse. I would like some helping finding a very niche product.

Please note I am NOT looking for comics where dinosaurs are the protagonists. Dinosaur comics/novels/shows/cartoons/media are way too easy to find. I'm looking for lizards, crocodilians, turtles, snakes... that kind of thing. I am also NOT including TMNT in this search for obvious reasons.

I'm inclined towards series with more mature themes, but they seem really hard to find with the criteria I want them under. I was able to find Neil Gaiman's Teknophage series at Cosmic Monkey Comics (I live in Portland, OR) which was made in 1995. Something like that? Mr. Phage is evil, but he's still the protagonist so it counts. They also helped me find Cold Blooded Chameleon Commandos from the 80s. It was made as a parody to TMNT when it exploded in popularity for the first time ever. A whole bunch of rip-offs and parodies followed TMNT and were never as successful, of course.

If you have a comic or series that wants some exposure, now would be a really good time for some advertising.

It's a short read, but Kristina Stipetic's satire Yasha Lizard features a reptile protagonist. It's nothing like the sort of action comics you've mentioned, but it certainly has mature themes.

I've got an anime/manga-styled action fantasy (with horror and sci-fi themes) webcomic called Psychteria that has both a Lizard and a Frog in the main cast :V (The lizard especially sort of works as a secondary protag, though I'm trying to give them all enough screen time lol)
I dunno if it'll count as to what yer looking for, though it does deal with some mature themes.

Yeah I never really noticed it before but maybe TMNT has ruined reptile people. Lizards are so much cooler and diverse, and they don't even have to be ninjas.

It might be a little far fetched but why not Remind from Jason Brubaker. It's a story about under water lizards. But the main protagonist is inside a cat body...
It's beautifully draw and has a unique story I think.

I only know of one that has a reptilian protagonist which is [Psycho Babble]. There are other main protagonists along with him but fortunately he isn't overshadowed by them. The comic has a mature leaning and is quite enjoyable at the moment.

I doubt it but will ask anyway, do dragons count or no? (I assume no because those ones are easier to find than dinosaur ones I feel)

And yeah, I feel your struggle with trying to find series with reptiles, its just not something I tend to run into when going through comics with animal protagonists. Most of the time when I see them they are just one of many of the antagonists the series rotates through.

I should've brought up dragons, huh? Yes, comics where dragons are the protagonists are... somewhat easier to find? Not exactly what I'm aiming for since they are a category all on their own for being fantastical creatures.

Hmm... yeah I guess, just like Hollywood movies, animal comics also have their stereotypes that never make it as main characters. I have many comics where there are lizard characters, but yeah, the only one where there is a main protagonist... he doesn't stay as a lizard for long. Also those comics are on Deviantart, not here yet ^^
