If you're looking for some good laughs, awesome art, action, mystery, suspense, and more--you might wanna check this comic out. The authors do a fantastic job building up the suspense for tense scenes, and also breaking that tension with humor--it's a fun ride, definitely recommend it.

I don't really think it would matter too much, because the Tapas staff would still need to sort out the recommendations that do/do not meet the criteria.

Also people can see when a account was made in the bio, so it would be a bit obvious

I tried my best to narrow it down so I chose a comic that I thought had a funny concept. Bringing someone luck by beating them with a back scratcher then falling in love with the one that beat you! HAHA

Someone already beat me to the punch for The Watchman by Catluckey, but I'll nominate this series again if that helps! This is a great science fiction series that is well written and has really beautiful art.

I would like to recommend Heart of Keol by @keii4ii. The artwork is phenomenal, especially the environments, but more than that, the story is very emotionally driven with developed characters that grow as the story goes on.

I love this novel so much that I decided to become a graphic designer for it! I fell in love with the mature character of Nathan. I also love his relationship with his dad Blithe. They share a rather unique but interesting bond.

I was thinking about nominating Vampire Sabbath. At least, it was on my short list.

This series has diverse cast of characters, each one with depth and layers. The colorful and dynamic style looks engaging. I think it's presented in both English and Spanish, but I might be misremembering that part. Solid choice.

I miss seeing a bunch of short stories in a book and short story comics is also something that's rare

This comic is lovely because of all its short stories each one powerful in its own way even without words. A nice little silent comic that I think more people should see.

Came for the spooks stayed for the world-building. The art style is as unique as the story line and the character design has a fond place in my nightmares!

Hue Are You? has been a reliably updated but underrated comic for years now. It has a optimistic, lovable protagonist robot -- so it's surprising how deep the world building actually goes in this series. Also, the creators have been outstanding community members.

This is another good pick.

Dang, I really wanted to recommend a novel this time around to help even out the comic to novel ratio. Every book in my library will not work for one reason or another, mostly bad timing.

Shout out to Abby's Hope, an experimental story about mental illnesses by a French-speaking author. It's good but wrong for this particular collection. This was at the top of my not-nominating list.

Instead, I guess I'll nominate Phantom Reign. I just got caught up reading it last week. PR is an interactive adventure comic in which the readers decide what the protagonist does next (or tries to do next). It's a silent comic, so it can be understood despite language barriers. The look is stylized but beautiful with a cool color pallet. The story is not always clear, but that's a part of the fun mystery. The creator has been incredible about putting out work constantly.
