Confessions of A Writer-holic

I've been a bit low-energy lately, and as a result, I've been wanting to get funny, lighthearted things off of my chest.

Confession Time:
1) I started my online experience writing werewolf stories. Not the original kind, mind you. I wrote about the very tropes I dislike today. Mates, Alphas, Betas, teen dudes that somehow look like near 30 year old supermodels, the whole empanada.

2) In the everlasting debate between Vampire vs. Werewolf (or technical Necrophilia vs part-time Zoophilia) I was happy to consider myself a furry, up until I learned what a furry actually was. No offense, Chester The Cheetah.

3) I prefer dudes with longer hair. Not model-like longer hair. "I just changed into a werewolf" longer hair. What's the difference?

One's socially acceptable.

And done.... if I ever make it big-time, I trust that one of you will hold this over my head. In fact, I think it is your civil duty to do so.

Alright, I got nothing to hide so why not.

1) At one point in my life, I was a serial story starter. You know how that person is. They start one story, then another, then another, but none of them get past chapter one. Eventually, I got tired of it and decided to just finish what I started and that's how I got to be where I am today.
2) None of you were wondering but I'll tell you. "Bones" is my childhood nickname given to me by my grandmother because as a child, I was skinny and I had long bony fingers that she liked to call skeleton hands. Now that I'm older and I look back on it, I laugh and use the name for sentimentality.
3) All of my works are anime-inspired and yes, I did write fan fiction and I still do and I don't feel ashamed. But now you all know.

1) I have Twilight to thank for getting me into reading and, ultimately, writing, as prior to reading that, I hated reading. I grew up with attention difficulties that made it hard for me to learn to read and write (making me resentful of it) and these difficulties followed me into middle school until I read Twilight and I discovered what reading could actually be like.

2) I used to write werewolf stories too! And I still read them ahah, I'll probably always have a guilty pleasure for it because I like supernatural/urban fantasy stories so much in general.

3) Most of what I've written has been Naruto fanfiction and I still continue to write it, alongside HP fanfic that I started just this year. (It wasn't until January that I read HP for the first time, so I've been very late to the party on that front lmfao). My two HP fics include a crack-but-not-quite-crack Lucius Malfoy redemption fic that hinges upon him smoking weed and befriending a muggle boy named Paul Baker, as well as Tom Riddle x OC fic I'm writing for a friend. Did I ever think I'd be writing mostly for the villains of HP? No, life is surreal the way it works out lmfao

You know, I often find that the stories we make fun a lot of, are the ones that get us into reading the most. They unlock the doors.

Many students don't read because educational facilities are very selective with their recommendations. They're just not what we can appreciate at that point in our lives. Sometimes Twilight is exactly what we need. I still read ww stories too! But I'm pickier now haha.

1) When I was younger and I would write, I would hide it away like it was the secret to life itself. I thought I was weird and no one would understand me. I felt like I poured out something do delicate on paper that I couldn't possibly share it. It took me a while to realize I'm just very critical of myself and at the time I wouldn't have been able to handle any negativity about it ( teenage angst is a bitch)

2) I have written a lot of straight-up smut in my time I dunno if it was the taboo when I was younger that drove me to do it (or the teenage hormones) but I man I loved it and honestly, I still do. I find it to be a personal challenge for myself. Plus sometimes it's just fun.

3) I honestly never thought I would be writing again. I gave it up in high school when my mother told me I should focus my time on something that would actually make me money as an adult. Writing wasn't something that should be taken seriously. I wished I would have paid attention sooner that writing is what I need in my life.

Once you start writing, it's hard to give up 100%. Especially when it plays such a huge role in our teens. And I bet writing smut was part hormones, part knowing you had the power to write it. Smut was also a large majority of what I wrote in the past, too!

1) Third serial story starter here. As a kid I didn't have many people to play with, only my older bro, but he was 8y older so most of the time our agendas didn't match. My grandma would watch over me and I would make these crazy stories to tell her during meals or at night. I used my dolls 'n VHS tapes 'n furniture and literaly anything lying around to make my scenario and play my stories. Some of them I remember and plan to write about sometime in the future, but most of it was spur of the moment and is long forgotten. Mind you, the embarassing part is most of these stories involved me being the MC and saving/changing the world in some dramatic way. My work on Tapas show you where my tendencies led...

2) I'm a very open and chatty person both at the forums and IRL, but when it comes to things that I write I'm very embarassed. All that I put on paper (or on screen) feels very personal, so when friends and family read my work I get so red that there is probably no blood is running to my brain. I blame that on my big bro who once read out loud to my family a poem I wrote and didn't mean to share...

3) I enjoy reading those corny erotic novels sometimes, the very, very silly ones with covers that tell you they are full of stereotypes and possibly not-that-mentally-stable-alfa-male characters. They are awful and I know it. But every once in a while it's nice reading something light and stupid like that. And recently I have been thinking that I would want to write one, or maybe a parody of one. I dunno, it's just so out of the range of things I ever wrote that I feel like trying.

As much as we harp on stereotypes, I think none of us would ever limit the kinds of things others write. I say go write whatever you want, if it makes you happy. After all, we have that freedom. And don't be afraid of embarrassment, it's usually in our minds.

Worse than the hand shake might be when someone say something that you shouldn't answer with "thanks, you too" and yet you do, because brain farts...

1) I just like teen comedies/urban fantasy/romantic stories and comics too much, and they get even better when sex stands in the way (Yeah, i'm low-key perverted for that stuff)

2) Once upon a time i used to write pokemon fanfictions with ships and i was pretty popular too on some sites. One day i go check the reviews from my readers and 20 of them were all positive, and i was like WOAH i'm a damn writer, man! untill at the bottom line of the last comment i read "I don't know why you keep using the word UNESCO though, you probably meant "unison" but you should change it because you're using that lot and in a wrong way and people now keep thinking that the word UNESCO means unison. Anyway good story, you're great! I LOVE YOU BYEEE!,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,So i quit with fanfictions. (My family still laught at me for that, I WAS JUST 12 OKAY?!)

3) Sometimes i get so envious of other people's works that the immature artist inside of me start getting the worst of me out and makes me look so unfriendly, cold and spiteful LOL i have so many complexes xD

4) I'm a chainsmoker and i won't probably stop anytime soon, so i guess i'm gonna die before pubblishing a real comic haha stay tuned about my lungs health

1) My name was given to me by my old highschool friends and inspired from The Princess Bride
2) Never wrote fanfics and never had any interest in reading them either. Not really sure if that's a confession
3) I got bored easily in school so to stay awake I wrote poems/songs/stories on the desks. They were the kind that you could use markers so I would erase them. Sometimes, though, I would leave them for the next class to find. I even did it in labs with a pencil on the desk(I would erase afterwards) or my notes. In some classes teachers let me write stuff on the boards like poems or quotes. Only my friends knew it was me lol.
Oh yeah, I'm a serial story starter too and got no shame in it lol, I have to write down whatever idea I have regardless of whether it continues or not. That way I can always come back and remember.

Oddio, in bocca al lupo, my child LOL. Fanfictions bring out both the best and worse within us, but never fear the advice. Before you compare yourself to anyone, take note of your strengths and take a deep breath. And quit smoking @#$$%@!

I friggin love the Princess Bride. I remember watching it and being like "alright, so blonde dudes aren't so bad in actual depiction." The second one is a confession, and you shall pay for your crimes. Both in school and out.

Biggest misconception for readers is that people think we were all wonderful students. If they only knew. I was a desk writer as well.

1. I used to write THOSE kinds of stories. You know... The one everyone writes when they first start out about angels and demons. To be fair to me, however, my characters have always been weirdos, so at least it wasn't the typically super-hot angel dude or something.

2. I wrote a really terrible book when I was like ten-years old about the same angel dude only it was MUCH worse which is saying something LOL. It was overly complex, had 800 characters, and had really dumb plotpoints.

3. I've been writing for a long time--ever since I had this weird dream about a girl with a red bow who was falling and I wrote a short story about it. Oddly enough, I still kinda like the story where I hate my first book (maybe this is where my love of short-form as opposed to long-form stories comes in...)

I've never written straight up smut before and I've never written fan fiction or werewolves, though XD I have written things that have sexy stuff in them I guess? LOL
