Just got this email from Tapas that my novel was taken down. Does anyone know what this is?

This is a courtesy email to inform you that both of your series have been blocked from our platform for containing AI-generated content, which violates our Content and Community Guidelines. AI-generated content is not allowed in comics or novels in any capacity, including, but not limited to, covers, banners, and text.
As stated in our Terms of Service, you must own or have the necessary rights to publish content on Tapas, and your content must not infringe upon the copyright of others. Currently, copyright law requires artwork to be created by a human in order to qualify for copyright protection and as such does not cover AI generated content.
To reinstate both of your series, we ask that you remove all AI-generated content and replace it with your own original material. Once you have done so, reply to this email and attach the updated image(s) for our team to review.
If you believe this was flagged in error, you may also reply to this email with proof of ownership or appropriate permissions.
Failure to take appropriate action will result in your series remaining blocked from our platform.

Well, if you did not use AI you can probably appeal to them. But if you did, well, hope you can learn how to create stuff.

I didn't use Ai, the strange things is that another story I had up from years ago was also taken down.

Are they just doing this automatically? How does this process work and how do I get it resolved?

your best bet is likely going to be trying to reach back out to tapas staff via email if they've provided you one and showing evidence if you have it that your work is not ai generated

i dont know if information on how a work is flagged has been made public so it could be anything from their systems to internal checks or just another tapas user

It's literally in the email.
You can ask them what exactly did they pull the novels for, text or artworks and you can send them artworks with some sketches and some drafts for text.
I wouldn't worry if you didn't actually use AI for anything
