I asked around and this hasn't been made yet so here's my try.
We create a community webcomic. Meaning each week a different creator submits a standalone gag comic within one series.Nothing story based. The submitters would require to have less then 100 subs. He/she would still have all rights, and will have to create a new original page, cant re use an old comic.
So people will sub to this for unknown and fresh content.
I would host it but it would be VERY community controlled. But before I create it I want some comics to sustain the series for a couple of weeks.
Also what would make a good name! I was thinking something like "the lottery" or "the bargain bin" comment if you have an idea!
If you are interested and or want to submit Pm me I will be happy to answer any questions, keep in regard This is a new idea and will have its faults.

Thanks,
Tom

Edit: I started it http://tapastic.com/series/The-Tapastic-community-comic-16

Update : anyone with higher subs can submit, i mean the likely hood that people with really high numbers will want to submit are pretty low so in summary, we don't discriminate.

Theres a lot of collab ideas going around, but Im still on board with this. Let's...

I'm interested! Definitely depends on time though for me. d: Even if I don't submit anything it's a great idea and I'd definitely subscribe! Personally I like the title "The Bargain Bin" best out of those two. :3 Though I think it could be good for it to be something with "Tapastic" in the title or some kind of nod towards the fact that it's a Tapastic community project.

Well I dont want to rush it, I would like to set things up property. So if you still want to by then, you should have plenty of time.
Good idea for the name, funny enough I thought. Tapastic would have already made something like this, oh well bet them to it.After everyone has submited there idea for a name I might create some sort of voting system or if i really like one!
Thanks for your reply! smile

Oh that sounds really fun! And also a great thing to get to know other people (+their comics and styles!)

This sounds like a great idea for a comic, this way the community can be creative together. It's a thought that hasn't crossed my mind. However, I wish luck. One thing thing, you could call this comic "The Community Pot" or something similar since the community is coming together.

I did think of something similar like "potluck" but until actual comics and a larger enough subscriber base we wont change the name. eventually we will have a vote and all decide.

I have some strong concerns about this.
Like, what if the shared comic becomes a BIG thing.
Will you turn on the ads? Will you open the supporter program? Will you pay your contributors with the earned money, or would you keep it for yourself?
How would you collab with all of the users who join? Will you use skype? Line? Something else?
I would like to know these things because I don't want someone to be making money off of my comics, while I only get "free exposure"
I don't want someone to be making money off of my comics, while I only get nothing in return for showing my comics.

I understand you concerns, and I will try my best to answer them.

I highly doubt this will become a huge thing, this is orientated towards a local/community crowed.

I will not turn on ads, as I'm not looking for money now and or the near future.

If I did turn on the support program, I would figure out a way to ensure each creator gets the payment they're entitled to.As I'm am not creating any content only herding it into one place, making it easier for anyone looking to help out other content creators.

The series wont have more then a few comics from each creator in the entirety of the comics life span.A creator wont be regularly be submitting.

This project is not It a Collab comic where we organize who is doing what and follow a plot, although something like that could be organised in the future and if so that is entirely different situation to what we're trying to do now. So we can discuss that topic when and if we come to it.

In the unlikely hood that we get a lot of attention and I decide to turn on a support program I will most likely move the series and all of its contents to a separate account specially for that purpose as to sort out payment methods easier, also I don't want my normal account consumed by this.

Keep in mind that I am trying to get something very experimental off the ground, so the are no set rules and I say that this is a community comic so i will look towards the community and its creators like your self for major decisions.

What constitutes a major decision?
A major decision will include adding a support program/ads,changing the series name, rule changing. Basically any changes that could effect the viewers and creators in on a large scale.

If you or others have any issues with this please bring them up, and or any solutions you have would help.

Q: What about someone who's working on there comic but hasn't published yet? I have a long ways to go before my comic will be ready, but it would be fun to change pace once in a while... Just wondering?

You can still submit, and depending on the time between now and when you do publish. You could re-submit to refresh the audiences memory. I mean its still small so the rules for submitting are more like guidelines at this point.

I watched they're entire sonic boom play though and I've got grump dialects stuck in my brain! Haha
