Creator | Tapas section (how is it determined)

Somehow I recently discovered the creator section. I'm not sure if it's a recent change or what but I got curious and started to scroll and realized that I didn't see my work. I was a bit disappointed at first then I decided to keep scrolling and scrolling and behold there was my work.

Ok, I felt a little better when i saw it. but it took me scrolling several times before I found it. so my question is, does this platform show every creator or is it catered to artists who has a certain amount of followers and page views? what method does it use to determine who shows up and who doesn't?
when you update, does it help boost you up so you are more visible?
just out of curiosity.

I think I only looked at this page once, and it was just the page that had the premium creators on it haha. I figure if you follow someone, they probably show up higher in the list.

Actually~ its a creator spotlight. I too accidentally stumbled upon it and had thos same question. Its like a staff pick but for Creators and it cycles every so often. Although I don't know much more than that.

oh I had no idea there were already similar topic lol no wonder it took a while to get a response from anyone. well thanks to you both for replying. I was just confused and wondered how those picks happens.

lol I don't think I've ever clicked on it either until you mentioned it ^_^; I'm not sure how the algorithm works for it, but it's probably a combination of how consistent a creator updates their series along with number of views/likes.

see that's what I thought. until I ran into an artist who haven't updated in 6 years. the reason I know this is because I still have their work in my fav. so when I saw that, I got confused all over again LOL

Ah, so we have this feature back up again.

The sort options for all creators could be improved, as in sorting by letter under the name sort option to neutralize the endless scrolling needed to find a creator or even our own listing. Most sites have the sort by alphabet option under name sort option.

"The creators we love" only have people who are over 500 (near 1k) subs or more, maybe the more your series get noticed by Tapas and its algorithm the bigger the chances?

There is also sorting options by name for all categories.
I don't think I will use that shit much though, I usually found people by their work first.
