This will be my first year being around at this time as an active member. Kinda excited about it.

Nice. I've been prepping for this for a few months now. Ink splashes everywhere. On a side note the template for the novelist announcement says spring inksgiving. I guess it doesn't really matter since you can just edit it. As long as everyone reads it over it should be fine.

Time to hoard some ink! I have spent it all on premium episodes :cry_01: how did I become so reckless with spending ink?

I've hoarded 25k so far. Will see how much I can do before November 20th, and maybe buy some ink packages before the event starts.

Yeah if I have some extra money left (yaay for being a broke uni student) I will buy one as well

I think I'l make a special inksgiving episode once I'm sure we can have ink turned on for us.In the mean time I'll hoard stuff

This will be my first active year on here, and honestly I'm total noob about it, but I do hope it can be unlocked because I've always been curious about it! I hope they also make a decision on whether or not to unlock ppl with less subs soon. I don't really wanna make an inksgiving post and then be told I can't participate. :frowning:

I had a friend who doesn't speak English ask me for clarification and this is what I told her... is it right? Please tell me if it isn't!

... During Inksgiving, readers can donate ink. At the end of the event, Tapas will calculate how much "bonus ink" to return to readers. Bonus ink can only be used to unlock episodes. Readers cannot donate bonus ink to creators.

And when I was looking through the templates I noticed in the body of at least one of them there's still a reference to Spring Inksgiving, it is one of the pretty .psd ones. :yum:

Ah, okay, maybe what I'm seeing is just a duplicate of the one you fixed... the file name is almost exactly the same.

If anyone would like a shout-out for their individual #Inkgiving party, there's also a Twitter "channel" that's been set up for folks to communicate with one another and get lots of likes/retweets from others. The Twitter channel is called #TapasComicsChat (and of course, novelists are welcome also)

Honestly, we're just trying to bring people together on Twitter. Everyone seemed bummed out about how bitter and rancid Twitter is lately, so we thought what a great idea it could be if we have a "hangout" and folks can stay in touch and actually chat about projects, etc., and get retweeted and liked as much as possible to get more audiences.

In short, come on in!

Sorry for being a noob. But how does this work?

I think it's more like a hashtag that people can use and follow to post tweets about tapas in as opposed to something like a discord channel. So if people want to join in they can add the hashtag to a tweet to start a discussion on a certain topic or just to promote.

It gives the same vibe as say webcomicschat or something similar where a topic is brought up either for the week or for the month and discussions are carried out for a while regarding it

It'd be pretty useful since there aren't any hashtags for the tapas community to use (that I'm aware of) so its a good starting point

ah... I used it for one of my updates thinking it was similar to the #webtooncanvas tag oops, I didn't know it was for chatting haha

well @scribesunlimited is the one who came up with the idea but i would imagine that people at least putting it to use and getting it in front of more eyes is still good as it draws attention to the tapas community, our work and the site itself
