Dungeons & Dragons has had an unmistakable influence on the fantasy literature scene, and in recent years it has bled into comics with incredible vivacity. There's something to be said for "weirder" fiction, but then again there is also nothing quite like genre fiction and stylish fantasy.
Recently (okay, ~2 months ago) I decided to do a little trope-based fantasy story of my own, and I would like to share it with you. Save Vs. Rust is a short 27 page story about friendship, bugbears, and rust. I hope you enjoy it.
It begins publication in
this episode on tapastic, or you could read the whole thing
on one page on my website.
Of course it would be rude of me to only advertise myself here, so here are some other great fantasy and D&D-informed comics which you can read online.
The Clandestinauts by Tim Sievert is heavily D&D-ish, full of adventure, "murder hobo" morality, and gore/grotesqueries. Lots of fun.
If you want something a bit lighter,
Sean Mac's gag manga informed work is really cute and fun. Unfortunately his comics are a bit hard to find as they are vomited quasi-randomly across the social media landscape, but who doesn't enjoy a googling sesh?
To finish it off,
Zack Soto's The Secret Voice is energetic and raw in the best of ways, with some really interesting page compositions.
Alright, that's enough from me. Do you have any fantasy or D&D informed comics you'd like to share, by you or by others? What do you think of what I have linked to from here?
