I know that this game is a difficult recommendation, mainly because it may not be for everyone. But quite frankly, I loved every bit of it.

Did any of you play it?

They launched a new trailer and it looked absolutely fantastic.

I did not play it, but I watched a thorough no-commentary playthrough of it. It had some really cool ideas. I didn't quite know what it was trying to be--it seemed like it'd be more of a calming experience to play than anything. I know a lot of people joke it's a fancy "walking simulator", but it seemed to me all of the walking gives time to think of what the story is talking about and get into the head of the protagonist.

It's one of those stories where, at the end, I was thinking, "Okay, that was hard to understand. I need to watch an explanation video." Turned out I understood it, the story is just weird. But it's weird in a good way. I loved the BTs.

The trailer is cool! Albeit, it's a bit long. I tend to prefer trailers to be short as possible because often times, they give away their best visuals. Love the song they picked!

This is the first time I've heard of this game but as soon as I pressed play, I was like;

I have not played it but it always sounds like something I should play. I like walking simulators as long as they have some playable elements or the choices you make matter in the story you get. If it's too much like a visual novel I think "what's the point? I could have just read the book."

Despite it's claims, it's unfortunately not the first Strand-type game, Mario 64 was.

I played it, and I really liked it a lot. Though, it was very weird and very Kojima and I definitely have a hard time recommending it to people as well as describing it, lol. I'd say if you have patience and like Kojima games, then definitely check it out.

Yes. I know what you mean about trailers. I think this was meant to be for players who have already supported the game for so long and for new players. But I see your point.

Lol! It's a tough game to recommend. A very relaxed experience, in my opinion. So if you would like something more fast paced like God of War or Ghost of Tsushima, you might not enjoy the game too much.

If you enjoy walking simulators, then you will enjoy this one. I had a blast with it. It definitely gives you a lot of challenge. The terrain itself is a challenge along with these ghost-like entities called BTs. Real fun.

I was actually just quoting a meme from a famous review of Death Stranding where the reviewer was comparing both DS' and Mario 64's different ways they gamified movement.
