Design Ideas Please!

Hello! I am an artist. I am hoping to open up a sticker shop here soon and hopefully grow it into even more. I was curious if anybody had any ideas. Even if they are vague, that would make good stickers.

I know this is more of a platform for comic creators. I have thought about making a comic considering I love to draw and write. But recently I realized that I would rather write a book and then be able to share drawing of certain scenes or characters with my readers. I have come up with a specific plan for myself and my art which will contribute all the things I love and want to accomplish and this is sort of the starting off point. I just thought it might be nice to see what other people might be interested in.

I have thought about things that are holiday or season inspired. However, I am having trouble figuring out more generic or year round sets that I could make. I was also thinking about offering limited amounts of custom name stickers or quotes. I also thought about offering limited customized designs. Things like a commission of a small sticker. Or stickers for your business or something. Or maybe even just send in a photo of a friend that you want cropped and turned into a sticker.

Anything mixed with cute animals usually get sales.

Ask yourself... what is one thing that sticker makers always/never do. Then do that and do a bunch of typical stuff too.

its difficult to sell if you don't have an audience. I know because I've tried. also, you want to think about selling in conventions too and with that, you need to incorporate more items to it because if not, you will be stuck with a whole bunch of stickers with no one buying.
but back to your initial questions. anything cute and colorful. just like @joannekwan said, usually should give you some foot traffic.

I am absolutely doing typical stuff. Especially if it will sell. I am trying to think of designs I haven't seen and I definitely have some ideas for those too!

Thanks for the input! This is kind of a long haul idea I have! I want to work it up and grow it as I go. I have some plan and ideas for all of it and I have created a rough business plan. So hopefully it will work out. Wish me luck! And good luck on all your endeavors as well!

do you do online stickers? online stickers are pretty good as they don't cost you money to make, and if you have constant releases you may be able to build audience, and if you're lucky your sticker may hit big (in this sense it's pretty similar to webcomics), but of course, there's always a possibility that your sticker won't sale.
for example, LINE is pretty big in my country so it makes a good market to sell LINE stickers (I think you can also sell stickers on whatsapp? not sure). I do stickers for clients from time to time, and planning to work on my own brand more recently (although it's a bit hard because it has been more competiitve these days).

as for ideas, the ones that usually sell are the simple, cute or weird animal stickers, female characters (usually anime style) with cute style, male characters with cool or weird vibes, or couple stickers with lovey-dovey vibes
