@igneriss your illustrations are simple but gorgeous :D!
Everyone's stuff is so cool >u<!!!!!!!!!!
So lovely and so well drawn +a+!

For me it's faces

Sometimes I don't put that much effort into them to save time, but generally I'll try to make them as detailed as I can. I just love how expressive faces can be. Whenever I sketch or doodle, it's usually faces. I want people to look at my characters, and when they look at them, I want them to see how they're feeling and what they're thinking right there on their faces. I don't usually put as much effort into things like outfits, hands, or backgrounds, just because I don't feel like those are as important to the story I'm telling.

I'd like to get better at things like backgrounds, hair, animals, etc, but I don't really like gound out of my way to practice and study all this stuff. I'll watch some videos about it if I want some general tips, but for the most part I like figuring it out as needed. I kinda feel like trying to figure out how to draw something on the spot that looks good enough to be kept in my comic forces me to come up with solutions to drawing them better than if I was trying to figure it out on my own time.

Detailed/complicated or not, I actually do love hands.

They may not be highly detailed, but getting hands right can be HARD, because if they're wrong, it's obvious. Same with expressions-- nailing an expression with just a few lines is hard. And because faces are so familiar, when it's wrong, it's obvious.

But I'm also a sucker for a really detailed, lush background sometimes.

And then, of course, I have a love/hate relationship with complicated lighting.

And it's all traditional art (markers), too, so once I move past the pencil lines, I get one shot to get any of this right. Wheee!

Hands and feet...oh, oh, and shoes :joy:
Unfortunately, while I can draw a lot of things that are considered hard, more often than not I don't like drawing them. But when it comes to characters stuffing their emotional faces in my camera, I bloom and thoroughly enjoy the process.

I generally enjoy drawing pretty detailed stuff, I am always under impression it makes my art better and it's hard to get over this idea

2 years later

Probably faces, clothes/armor and hands, maybe add tiny details no one cares about on the list too lol

Hands, they were hard for me to draw but I learned to draw them with the big to small
principle which can be applied to a lot of things. I first draw them like giant gloves without
seperated fingers and then it already gets easier. Starting with the outlines doesn´t work
and once I understood that it got better

The car really looks perfect.

I don´t know why but every time I see your art I think that I would like to see it
with a Moebius kind of coloring, I don´t know where that thought is coming from

I always try to make my artwork as detailed as I could. Which is why I don't draw as often as I like. I need large blocs of time to work on any piece, and these days I simply don't have them.

One of my more recent pics (and by recent, I mean: made this year):

Girl I do not do complex; but I like to think I have a decent grasp of colours and the lighting/rendering stuff and the general vibe that comes with using them. I don't know how much sense that makes. Mood, I guess? I don't know if those are particularly difficult or complex things, or if that's even the sorta junk you're meaning.

Flowers and plants. Only analog atm, but they are something I can actually succeed at lol
