This is probably not that good but I want to share my story when I got my feet sprained. So like, it was earl morning and I'm pretty much delirious and walking down on the stairs, I missed a step and fall from what I guess is 4 steps from the bottom.
The instant I fell and after, I'm still half awake so the next second, I was just heaving and cursing from the impact. I tried to rise but my energy seems to go away until a long seconds after. I dragged my feet and holding onto something so I can stand up. Until then I'm only feeling the pricking numb, the pain wasn't really there yet.
I walked and then I felt the pain, finally. I can squat and the stars were coming for a few seconds, and when I stayed at that position, it goes away after a while. For most of the day, I can walk and stuff without much pain if I didn't necessarily put pressure on it.
I think it was Friday (or if not Saturday and I added more day for the bottom paragraph. I don't really remember) when I fall and I left it untreated until Monday. No ice, no other. I just left it be until I look for a doctor then. There was a national holiday on Friday or Saturday, so I didn't go, and on Sunday, most clinic close, so I didn't go either.
The first day, it's still okay. I still can stand and walking (dragging) for a long time without much problem. There's only an almost unfeeling swelling. The second day tho, it swelled more until the night. Sunday is the worse because the fluid makes my whole feet up until the top of my ankle very big. The pain is still like before. I can press the swelling (ad long as I didn't press the part that hurt) and the fluid can moves and created a dent on it. For all the time, even the week after, sometimes when I walk or stand, my feet could suddenly gave up and I often fall because of that.
The fourth day, which is the day I finally go to find a doctor, the swelling was down considerably, and almost gone if I could say, and the pain was almost nonexistent except when I pressed it wrong. So when I go to the doctor, they only gave me an anti-inflammatory med and painkillers, plus a savle to put it on.
The swelling came and go for weeks, and the pain wasn't really there after that. Even after months (Almost half a year maybe until now) I still feel my feet felt wrong if I twist it around on some positions.
I know some people have different experience but I hope this could help somehow. Sorry for my weird wordings lol.
