What ideas did you have but never made it to comic or novel release?

Here's some of mine...
1) PARA-SAYO (Deleted scenes)

Reduced this entire arc into a single page... supposed to be Fr.Jose's back story fighting a demon possessed Commie villain who just wanted a small section of the Philippines to be a communist utopia.

2) Throwaway Goddess

set in the same timeline as MAG-ISA. After the mass shooting in 2011 that killed over 300 in Toronto using super soldiers, (fictional alt universe timeline) The Order (villains in MAG-ISA) decide to build a new type of soldier-- sleep trained cannon fodder type infantry.

The same kind of troops Akala has in AngHell Dela Blackpill. Recruits are predominantly men age 15-30 who have nothing going for them.

I mean, why spend money and resources to feed, train, and house highly trained soldiers when you can achieve the same objectives using cannon fodder? Reserve your elite super soldiers for S rank difficulty missions.

Also about the financial sources of The Order... from dr*g dealing, to illegal arms trafficking, child trafficking, cyber crime, etc.

3) Eagle's Nest
- Military sci fi... set 300 years after events in MAG-ISA (23XX AD). Earth ruled by 1 world government. Mars a colony. Pockets of resistance. Resurgent communist rebels (communism that has elements of founding fathers of USA) on earth, theocracy (hybrid of eastern and abrahamic religions) rebels on Mars. Rebels have common enemy -- the tyrannical decadent 1 world government.

No clear cut heroes and villains. Every side has the good and bad.

Plot too complicated. "Flashback" to collapse of the USA and it was occupied by UN troops fighting far right "don't tread on me" militias. Features Filipino scout rangers vs a very capable far right militia led by ex green beret...

Tldr; all of them involve lots of fights. Fists, guns, knives, mecha, kiai blasts, etc...

The current comic I'm doing (AngHell Dela Blackpill) has a moronic plot in comparison. 🤣

There was an entire extra chapter and character who was a secretary to Maxwell.

The ideas was she would steal Mayu's band while on a trip at the mall and try to blame Maxwell for it. (See chapter 2 of The Thieving Game if you're curious what the rules of the game are.)

However, I found out it didn't move the main story along and didn't really add anything. So I cut it out and reworked the story without them.

Definitely feel the story is stronger without it.

There are a few ideas that didn´t make it into the story.

Romantic relationship between David Williams and Milena Dragovic. It starts as mutual understanding of two people acknowledging how broken they really are. Both started to have hidden feelings for eachother and that should have created an open romantic relationship in the 2nd half of the story. On screen that never came to be, because the story focused on other things and David Williams shifted to the role of a background character.
Berserker mode. Plan was for David Williams to have a new partner in the agency. What no one knew, he should have been a former dirty cop linked to Trella´s past. She would of course recognise him, resulting in a PTSD episode that would make her go berserk. And it would be up to Michelle and Aya to bring her back. It didn´t really fit the storyline and since I couldn´t find an appropriate spot for it, the idea got dropped.
Personal revenge. Plan was for the girls to go on a wild goose chase to eastern Asia. At one point they should end up in Taiwan - the birthplace of Mei-Ling Hsiao. There she would come across her father, who sold her to a loan shark when she was a child to pay off his debts. Mei-Ling already had a traumatic event earlier, didn´t feel right for her to have another one, so the idea got dropped.

My deleted ideas were Bride of the Barbarian because I just couldn't make a consistent story, another baking themed story called Batter Up, and a fancomic idea for Psycho Goreman the series my way which is highly inspired by Beetlejuice the animated series from back in the day.

The last one was the best of the discarded ideas because it is now an original story in the works.

There was a scene of extreme sadism that was supposed to appear in the second chapter of the Nadezhda manga, but I deleted it.

Scene:
Clanser sees Matthias Brandt and goes to talk to him. After the conversation, Matthias takes him to his car, where Clanser notices the body of a young girl. He asks Matthias about her, and Matthias replies that she was his girlfriend but that she had insulted him. (Matthas had been kicked in the balls, which had rendered him sterile.) Clanser, with his simple mind, tried to lighten the mood, saying a common English phrase: "She's nice. I was going to eat her." However, he translated the sentence directly into German, leading Matthias to believe that Clanser had developed a taste for cannibalism.

Matthias went and took out his knife, slashed open his ex-girlfriend's chest, and pulled out her heart, offering it to Clanser. Clanser realized he was in trouble, and when he tried to refuse, Matthias shouted, "Eat it!" Terrified, Clanser took the heart and bit into it, but the taste was awful, causing him to spit it out and refuse. Matthias accepted the situation

In Frostpeak West...

There was originally cities that would float around the sky. Mr. Blueberry was born there but was pushed off the edge when he was a toddler. Tho he was able to land safely without dying. Everyone on earth were aware of the sky cities and there were originally flying cars and airships.

I sort of riffed on this in an April Fools comic

Mr. Blueberry was also orphaned after falling to Earth but later adopted by a wealthy man. This was changed in the current Frostpeak West. He's now born on Earth was raised by a single father. A lot of these changes had to do with making the series less Mr. Blueberry focused and getting rid of redundant characters. The removal of the sky cities was wanting to shift the tone to be grounded (sorry for the pun).
