That makes sense.
Although, whenever I write, I try to come off as I normally would in the real world. I do agree that text has a way of making things sound harsher than they should be. My grandpa taught me to always tell people what they've done right and then gently explain what they could improve on. It's kinda like "You were really good at this, but I would also like to see this, you did good here but this would make it a lot stronger".
A lot of my college professors critique our work online so I've dealt with the whole "they could've worded this better" feeling.
