I'm interested but a bit weary with unknown sites... I haven't reached out to them yet cos I'm waiting for someone else to do so and lemme know how 'legit' this is? So is this source from a direct friend of yours that you can vouch for?
Yeah... I just realised that beyond doing it for fun, comic can be expensive to produce.. ha But at the end, it seems like depends on how much we value our time doing something that can be outsourced
Thanks everyone for the responses I tried out my first flatter and it did helps alot to have tha…
Just wondering if anyone knows... how much does typical good flatter charge per page for up to 5 panels? Does anyone here have experience with outsourcing these task to a flatter? I'd love to hear it if you do. Thanks a bunch!
I didnt pull it out but I ended up with some edit to make it easier to digest by the average readers. But yeah it does seem that posting anxiety a common thing for creator and it's good to know you're not alone
Oh my, I just fell off the internet for a while and didnt realize how many replies this thread got!!! I didn't realize how many creators in this forum are from that part of the world!
@joe_galindez I'm not familiar with spanish or german accent at all, and I'm secretly in love with british accen…
Ha! Good tips! Awesome! @punkarsenic I'm not sure myself which one. Maybe the posh london accent? Lol I dunno yet, I did watch alot of british tv a while ago I'm thinking of making some of my character british to differentiate them from the rest of the plain accent
Have anyone try to write character with british accent? If you do, do you have any tips? Just wonderin
I like these gordon ramsay vocabularies, it has the feel I'm looking for on how my character would speak, thanks! I probably go with eugh and hideous
Something like "eww" but said by a grown up dude is it like "eghh"?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
Love the cookie analogy! They're awesome! On the lost of subs, a wise comic buddy told me that those who matter will stay and those who don't will leave

This is a very good advice. From the beginning, I knew that webcomic is a long game. Just dump it online and see how it goes with zero expectations. When it comes to entertainment, taste is very subjective, depending on each individuals background, age, gender, etc. Your intended target audience m…
Thank you for sharing your feelings about this. Same goes to everyone else who posted previously! Very glad to hear that it is a common thing among creators. Making comic is such a personal way to express your thoughts and feelings for the internet to see. Someone said that it's like exposing yours…
Oh this is good to know about the trend! I feel so much better now, ha. My comic is pretty dark but it started out only mildly dark, and the growth definitely slowed down the darker it gets lol. There's really nothing we can do as a creator when it comes to readers personal taste, so just like the o…
Two steps from hell music and soundtrack from scifi tv series or movies such as The Expanse and The Martian. It just fit the mood of my comic cos of the futuristic scifi feel to it and the epicness of two steps from hell music I can listen to anytime cos its very inspiring
This is a really good advice, also all the other advices too. So yah, basically just do the work, hit post, move on and not obsess about it pretty much sums it up!
Hello fellow creators! I was wondering if you ever experience posting anxiety and self doubt about where you're doing the right thing as far as where your story is going, as your audience grow over time in tapas comic/novel platform (or in webtoons where readers are more likely to express their tho…
Thank you so much for all these links @IdiotWithPencil and @DiegoPalacios These are life savers! I've been reading up to it since yesterday, it definitely expanded my very limited library by thousands. These are really good stuffs!
OMG!!!! Duuudee... thank you sooo much... im gonna drown myself in these today. ... thank you. ..
this is so good!!!! I'm gonna google this stuff up!! Is there a book or something I should read? I'm terrible at paying attention to texts with no pictures....
@YangKoete I sort of did that before, but something felt missing, based on other's suggestions here, it seems like I had to dig deep int…
Holy f*ck, this is good stuffs!!! Thank you so much for this!!!! I have lots to ponder just from this!! @TimCaloweh you brought up really great examples!! I have so much to learn from this!! Thank you!! @DiegoPalacios good point!!
Just wonderin if any writers here got any tips for writing dazzling dialog to create anticipation for some big fight to happen? Like what words can be used so the characters who says it sounds more badass? My vocabularies are limited to "im gonna kick your ass" So if anyone out there got good tips …
Yeah, I feel the same way, if you wanna drive traffic, why not to your own site? I just haven't got around to do it tho, maybe next time I'll ask around about it.
Webtoon has enough random readers browsing around that your comic is being found somehow, so you can still post there just as a mirror and not worry about extra promotional effort imho.
I posted my entire plotline as the story summary and leave very little to the readers imagination lol, good thing my buddy helped me rewrote it
But yah, mistakes are good teachers, I think it's a very valuable experience that I will remember for next time around for sure.
I agree having feedba…
first sketches are flatter and stiff, so I changed the angle a wee bit to make it more relaxed [image] final is more polished later on [image]
Last I saw was naruto creator is the judge, I guess that's already pass
Speed lol I wish I have 8 more arms so things got done faster I had alot of problems with drawing more perspective-ey human pose and I solved that issue by using action figures, posing them, took pictures and draw on top of it. So the overall look seems more right than if I drew it freely with zero…
Yes with a few manga. I feel the emotion get from reading is stronger, cos I have to put 100% attention when reading something, while movies sometimes can be played in the background, or if u watch it on the tv, you can get up from the couch and grab something, so the attention can be divided.
Yes, in the beginning, it took me like 30-40 hours+ to finish one simple page cos I was staring at the black and white ink and shade and not sure how to color it... But the key is to keep going, and as you finish more panels, you feel more confident to move onto the next one. As of right now, I ma…
Good point, being everywhere is not necessarily productive.
Lots of great pointer from everyone here, I definitely have a clear picture at this point of do's and don't s.
