That makes sense.

Although, whenever I write, I try to come off as I normally would in the real world. I do agree that text has a way of making things sound harsher than they should be. My grandpa taught me to always tell people what they've done right and then gently explain what they could improve on. It's kinda like "You were really good at this, but I would also like to see this, you did good here but this would make it a lot stronger".

A lot of my college professors critique our work online so I've dealt with the whole "they could've worded this better" feeling.

 not yet uploaded cos the artwork took a million year to finish lol
it's gonna be romance adventure manga in full color

I'm just in the forum goofin around
whenever it's at a done point, I'll post online in a few different platform including tapas

Sounds good! Let me know when it's up and I'll make sure to give it a look.

I read when I get writers block. It helps me leave that world behind so I can come back with a fresh mind.
I mainly read comics, but when I find a novel I like, I'll read that, too.

I also proof-read the things my brother writes, So there's no shortage of content to keep me occupied.

My reading varies based on what I'm doing but I definitely enjoy reading other webcomics or novels when I can. So if I've got a lot of free time or if I'm experiencing some kind of creative block I'll read webcomics or browse an artblog. I haven't found any novels recently that I've gotten really engrossed in, but then again I'm a relatively picky reader; so unless I'm really drawn in by the first few chapters I'll tend to drop it.

Since I'm on the Tapas website pretty much daily I'll read pretty often during my own downtime and when I'm taking breaks. Typically though I'll just listen to some kind of soundtrack or a podcast. I'd like to read more audiobooks but it still comes back to finding something I like and quickly since I've not read as many books recently, even on the tapas app.

Do you have any favorite 'Artist Youtubers'? I really like Jazza, but he's more for entertainment than information.

I'm always reading webcomics on here! It's no fun living in a vacuum, and there's some amazing works around, plus I enjoy the sense of community from when you actually get involved in other works on a website. I check for new updates to my subs every day - there's a long period at night before I can get to sleep where I'll just browse the forums and new comics I can find. I won't be drawing every second of every day (in fact, I work on comics like once a week nowadays since I have many other commitments) so might as well enjoy some good inspiring content.

Absolutely! Many of the webcomics here are inspiring and I regularly comment on a few ones I like!

the ones that draws or talking?
I usually prefer to listen to someone talking than watching them draw
especially the ones that have input on creative process like Jake Parker or Jason Brubaker

  1. Yes, I'm a voracious reader.
  2. I read mostly medical journals because that's my work. But I do check on what's 'trending' in YA, Hollywood, my local bookstore when I go to browse once a week. I also read whatever's trending on Tapas/B&N and I take notes on what piqued my interest to make me click on it. I only do that for fantasy eBooks because that's the genre I'm writing in.

While I do have a fairly busy schedule, I try to allot time each week to keep up with my fave series. Although, if I fall behind working on my comic or I'm otherwise busier than usual, keeping up with reading webcomics falls to the bottom of my priorities. (Which is always tough because I feel bad about not keeping up with ppls comics, I know as a creator weekly interactions on my comic are very supportive and encouraging and that the same applies for other creators as well. :frowning: )

Yup, this is now me now that I've found more cool comics and novels on here thru the forums.

Unfortunately I've been losing sleep too. But SO...MANY...STORIES....!

I'm just an amateur stuck between study (here's the name of my series Things to do instead of studying), creating the gag for the "comic" (being an amateur creating even a single page takes so much time even though the semplicity of the drawings) and some kind of awkward social life and most of the time I forget about the existence of several thing (such as this forum).

9 days later

I spend more time reading comics here on Tapas than working on my own. -____-

I do read a lot! I like well-made comics wih exciting story or just some funny stuff. It helps to relax between creating and get inspiration and strength to continue.
