I have issues with eye fatigue, and using the tablet for more than a few hours at a time hurts my fingers. But that wasn't the only reason I decided to shy away from digital. I realized that the ability to work at really small sizes gave me too much freedom for lack of a better word, leading to me getting caught zooming in and doing really superfluous detail work. One page would take me a week to finish and it didn't even look all that good at the time.
I can still use my computer for any editing I need, or even if I need to redraw a whole panel, so I don't worry about messing something up. That alone has made the process even faster since i'm not bogged down mentally about inking.
Cost wise I kind of liken one or the other to renting (traditional) or buying (digital) I can't afford a big honkin down payment. I wouldn't say traditional's expensive, in most people's cases they probably aren't going through supplies that fast anyway LOL
