for me, I tend to gravitate towards unusual work? like if it looks very heavily inspired by gravity falls or steven universe. I can very much respect the dedication but its jarring to look at. especially when its very clean cut? Like almost like animation cells. because folk can get confused, myself included. with what their tryna produced, best of both worlds. hannah montanna ass.
but anime/manga style wasn't something i grew up with, i find it very interesting in how different the story telling is, and its really clear when a western artist has been greatly influence by anime/manga format of story telling. ( i dunnae mean the left to right thing, i mean like the way things unfold?)
art certainly draws people in, but the story would keep them around.
i think my comic and art in general sometimes might come across as a bit to relaxed but im more about learning my mistakes the long way round. and i like being able to produce things quickly to be able to move on. ya.
