Normally, I really have problems coming up with the beginning of a story and it always seems boring to me, but with my current story, I'm quite happy about it!
I wrote it in the middle of the night when I was already really tired but felt so inspired and motivated that I had to write it down somewhere The next morning, I thought I'd hate it because I didn't think I'd get anything good on paper when I'm too tired to remember my own name But, surprisingly, that opening turned out pretty good in my opinion. I like how it is super mysterious and gives hardly anything away but also shows the main issues that the story starts off with.

I'm pretty content with my openings -- mostly because I based them off of openings that really gripped my attention in other series:

Bold statements, foreshadowing, and conflict (or the beginning of conflict).

Our Universe used a Bold Statement.

"The stars of our sky are cracks in our universe. She is dying."

And then we open up to Brenda as a child, watching the stars with her sickly grandfather.

These are just examples I've done, and they've worked so far. Because in the end, I want people to know the feeling first before they get the story.

I'm weirdly okay with the first chapter of my novel. It's really more of a prologue and I think it creates some intrigue around the setting and the MC. Plus it's pretty short. I usually don't like long, winding intros; I want to get to the actual story.

Hello! I used to be the same way where I would start stories and just be totally dissatisfied with the beginning. But the way I changed my tune was to think about what always caught my attention and then try it out. For example, sometimes I just dive right into the story--almost like, my stories have been going on even before I wrote them (kind of like being in the middle of their story and then backtracking later)--or wrote a line that would have left me curious if I was reading it. It checks most of what i want to convey. But I would like it to be more atmospheric-- which needs larger panels thus more pages, but i have page limits.

Yes and no. The first sentences, yes. First several paragraphs, ehhhhhh They read more like a glossary entry or something. But to be fair in my mind, that whole "first page" section is a prologue and i'll fix it WAY later when I can focus on it.

Usually, I find my Prologue and/or Chapter One satisfying--at least, what I had expected/from my point of view. However, Chapter Two onwards always feel lacking in some sort that I never understand. It's kinda odd idk:/

I was reading a prose book and found the advice "Start at the beginning not before."
It was saying even if you know a ton of set up and backstory, that's for you to keep in mind not to share with readers, so be extra cautious of info dumps, prologues, and unnecessary starts.

Personally, I like to start in medias res, with a bang straight to the action! Especially because most Tapas readers will only read the first bit of the first chapter before they decide to leave or sub.

I always come up with something that looks or sounds better later. I'll hold off on putting work out to give myself time to slot in better stuff, however new ideas and approaches are never ending and I'd never premiere anything if I let this pattern stop me.

More emotions, more depth and just was better written imo.

The content hasnt been changed, but the way it has been written did change.

Well, I am still at the beginning of my story right now...

But yes, I surprisingly am quite happy with the beginning of my story!!!

I believe that a story's beginning can be good when we have a casual start and then suddenly jump into an exciting and totally unexpected scene... I feel that their should be many questions erupting in the reader's mind at the beginning of the story and then the writer should answer the questions gradually, with each chapter with a slowly rising conflict in the story!!!

I'm pretty satisfied with my prologue. It's short, to the point and gives readers an idea of what the overall mood of the story is going to be. I could have worded some things better, or made the visual parts easier the read, but it does it's job well enough.

Not entirely. I kind of started my series, The guild of the Maltese Falcon, at a spur of a moment. With zero care for any real plot, not fleshing out the environment, no other characters involved, no consideration for character development and above all, not having a solid ending. I'm hoping that with a little bit of time, I will be able to fix everything.

Never. I rewrite them million times, and I still hate them.
