@abigaillmartin That is such a cute idea for a plush. It is possible to try to sew one yourself, I hand-sewed this this little doll plush, and I sized her just so that she can wear doll clothes. Frankly, I really don't enjoy sewing, it's too tedious.

I tried to make a doll of one of my characters back in 2018 but it was under pressure. Like… it’s complicated. I wanted to impress a girl I liked. It’s complicated.

But now I just want to do it for fun.

2 pieces of a pattern sewn together with a back-stitch is the easiest way to sew something. Remember to leave a gap so you can turn the piece inside out and it becomes a hole to put stuffing in. That's pretty much how all of my doll's parts were made. Only the head was the most complicated part as it required 4 pieces; face, back of head, 2 ears sewn together to form an actual shape of a head.

I bought the pattern and tutorial on Etsy and it was quite easy to figure out if you know the very basics of sewing (the thing I said above) and know how patterns work.

Watching a tutorial of a very simple sewing project helps quite a bit.

@vapidink I really love Batman The Animated Series
From the 90s. The noir style is what I love about it but also it’s just really good.

I grew up on all the Lego games and I loved Lego Batman 2. It was really fun.

I want to say that Batman has influenced Elsie just a tiny bit but like maybe it would share more in common with the Adam West Batman from the 60s. Cause Elsie is more lighthearted but it is serious sometimes.

That's one of my favorite shows! I loved the style and storytelling too, Justice League was also really good. DC had some great animated shows back in the day.

It's nice to have that sort of whimsy in storytelling though! I think that really works for Elsie, it keeps the story fun even with the more serious bits.

Pic of my Gundam collection- I have 3 that I already put together some yrs ago, but I've seemed to "misplaced" them(I may have possibly put them back in storage); I then just realized that out of the 7 in the pic, 2 of them are the same gundam that I've bought years apart

My husband bought Hotwheels to use as units for a tabletop game called Gaslands. Think racing in a Mad Max setting. I don't know if that counts as collecting.

My uncle tried to get me into Gaslands. I built a few vehicles for him and I to play with, but the game got a bit boring cuz no one else wanted to play with us... most of the fun is building the vehicles anyway
