My comic has a female as main character, and a lot of other female figures if we go further with the story.

I do prefer to write women, my new novel also has a female protagonist, and I'm really proud of her. She represents my grief and the hard shell we build to contain it, specially when we're seen as different and unworthy by most. That's my Sherry, my Batman elf who can kick ass with magic and without!

I didn't even think too hard about how my girl became the protagonist, she was just born for it I feel xD I have three protagonists which two are girls and one is a boy, the main one being a girl as well.

Lots of people are surprised by that fact since I am very male centric with my other interests haha.

Then again its a story about witches I suppose it makes sense the main lead is a girl haha.

I Definitely see it in more mainstream comic traditions, but I feel its more evenly split on the indie scene/ webcomic scene.

Anyways, I do have a very female/feminine cast going on in The Changeling's Sister, with, like two guys to try and even it out XD

I would say yes but also no. Two of the main characters look female, but that is just how they were created. They even make it a point to say they aren't girls. Being they are supernatural creatures, they point out they have none of the parts of a female or male, they just mimic being female.

In Hawk and Flo Adventures I have One female lead (Flo on the right) a male lead (Hawk on the left) a supporting female Lead (Lacey) in the middle and a side kick (Monk) if that makes sense ^^

My story, Raikiri, focuses on a pair of sisters who set out to explore the world while evading forces set on capturing the younger sister for her abilities and making friends with a bunch of eccentric mercenaries.

The older sister, Natsumi, is the more outgoing of the two and drives a lot of the plot with her enthusiasm.
Her story focuses on how the dark turns and violence they come up against, challenge her initial happy-go-lucky attitude.

Fuyumi, the younger sister, is more pragmatic. Her journey to overcome her insecurities is her focus (it took her five chapters to even talk to the men of the cast), stepping out of her sister's shadow and finding her confidence.

The cast has a pretty healthy mix of girls and boys, but I wanted the protagonists to be women, mostly because I found male leads in Shonen shows to be kinda samey.
